I looked this up back when I found the old thread--I'd never heard of the Kibbe types before.
Anyway when I did the questionnaire I came up as a Flamboyant Natural, which is a group of words that elicits no content at all to my brain. And the pictorial examples were oh-my-goodness way out there, but that of course was, what, 80's? pics of Farrah Fawcett and Lady Di...
The verbal descriptors, however (such as I could find) were amazingly spot-on. Such as my "best" patterns: geometric but slightly "off", like the chiclet-shaped rounded squares on my favourite scarf and favourite sheath dress, or the kind of plaid that looks like it's drawn in by wavy hand with a paintbrush; but overall, geometrics like stripes, dots and tartans. And the loose, slightly mannish silhouette that I have sort of fallen into as most flattering and most "me". The text I could find suggested that maybe I had tried to wear florals, ruffles, etc out of a conviction that those would make my rather angular features look more "feminine", but in fact it never worked, and I actually do look and feel more feminine in the recommended patterns and silhouettes.
Sir Ceit, does any of this resonate with you?
I do wish however that I could find more contemporary visuals but no luck so far. Pinterest got me a picture of Jackie O which goes even farther back (on the other hand, I do like her style...)
