Keep or return the "YLF dress"? Plus clamdiggers!

I finally ordered the "magic YLF dress" when I saw it for $46, and it came today. I really, really like it. What do you guys think? I'm wearing it here with leggings and flats, although if I keep it I might try to get in one wearing with leggings and boots.

This is a weird angle because my husband, who's a foot taller than me, took it from fairly close up. But hopefully you get the idea. It looks long here, but it comes to just above my knee.

Next, I have a question about clamdiggers. I'm making a trip to the tailor on Friday and need opinions on these:

I bought these two years ago at the Ann Taylor outlet. I think they're actually the right length, just to the wide part of my calf? These aren't very slim through the thigh and calf - would you call them walk shorts or clams?

I bought these khaki capris last year and hardly wore them - now I know it was because they're at an unflattering length. These are a little slimmer through the leg, so I think they'd be considered clamdiggers if I shorten them a bit. Here they are at full length:

And here I rolled them to just below my knee - is this about where I should ask the tailor to hem them? Or would you keep these at all?

Love the magic dress on you!
I'd try a little shorter both for the khaki and the denim- try rolling them up a bit more and taking pictures.

I'm glad you love the Nine West dress. I wore mine on Monday (w/ boots) and loved it even more as the day went on.
I am really clueless about clam diggers so I am going to refer to others.

Thanks! Actually I meant to post one more photo of the black ones (they're twill, I think, not denim) - they have this button detail at the bottoms that might make shortening them more difficult. Like this:

But my tailor is awesome, and shortened the zipper sleeves on my moto jacket, so that might not be a problem for him.

I think I'd prefer the magic dress without the leggings. It just seems too long. It looks great though.

I agree with Maya, at least from the angle of the picture the dress would be just as great without leggings! Either way, I would keep it.

I agree with shortening both of the clamdiggers! I can't be sure from your picture of the black ones, but I *think* the buttons would be very easy for your tailor to move up, it just might cost a bit more than a simple hem job.

The dress looks fabulous!!! Please post a review. Where does it hit you on the leg?

The capris have great potential. You can shorten both to just over the knee or on the knee.

It hits me just above the knee, Angie. I'll go post a review. Thanks for the advice about the capris, too - I'll take pics when they come back from being shortened.

I agree with all the other posters: You look great in the dress and there is no need for leggings (unless its cold out). I also prefer the capris higher up on your knees.
