I bought two tops today. The BR grey that Angie featured this week and a AT sweater with decorative sleeves. What do you think?
They are not styled. I have not been shopping much but I ordered the BR ruffled top and a tunic from ATL. Will model when they come in.

I really like the grey ruffled shirt. But I can't see the detail too well on the second one. How do you feel about the sleeve length on it? That length is always difficult for me.

I've seen the BR ruffle in person - and had an immediate negative reaction to it - tried it on, and disliked it even more! So, I can't give you honest feedback on how it looks on you, but can tell you that on me, I really, really didn't like that bunch of ruffles hanging off on one shoulder.

I have the same instinctive reaction as Marley to the shoulder ruffles. With that warning, I don't really love that top on you. The other one looks good. But I feel like you have many better pieces and these don't compare.

What Una said. I think you have other items in better colors and fits. I'm not sold on the ruffles. You can wear darker colts / higher contrast than the light gray, but the navy isn't bringing it your own coloring as much as it ought.
I'm having similar issues of colors that work but aren't in the right fabrics & styles, or good items are in "NFE" ( not flattering enough) colors.

i actually like the ruffles, just wish it was in a "better" color. as others have said, its hard to see the details on the AT sweater, but it seems to fit well.

I saw a photo of #1 online and didn't like it--I don't like to wear ruffles, so I was prepared not to like it on you, Debbie, but surprise, I do! Not sure why--I can't remember seeing you in ruffles before. It is just the way it looks--sort of casual--that I like.

I'll wait until later when you post more photos to comment on the second one.
