Karen's J Crew Skirt

I am completely enamoured of Karen's animal print J Crew skirt in her outfit on Angie's blog this morning. It's available in petite sizing and on sale, and I'm very tempted to order it. I've never ordered J Crew though and am wondering about the sizing?

Also, the skirt is in a linen blend (which I love) but am wondering if it will translate into a piece that can be worn in fall and winter with boots and a jacket? I know pattern wise it will work but would like to know your thoughts on whether or not the fabrication makes it summer only.

I also went directly to the JCrew stie to try to find this skirt, but didn't think to look at petites, although I want a length like Karen's. I'd think you could wear the linen into the fall and fairly early in the spring because of the colors and pattern.

It runs TTS. Karen wears a size 8 and this is what fit.

I do not like linen in cold weather. It just doesn't seem right to me. If your Autumns and Winters are warm like in FL or TX, than that works.

Karen is 5ft 7 and there was enough length in regular.

I WISH our Autumns and Winters were like FL or TX (lol)! We can get a very warm September though so potentially this skirt could be worn until October. Do you think this could work with my wardrobe Angie?

Sooo I was not the only one wondering about the skirt.
For our fall it wouldn't work, imo.But it surely is a timeless skirt that would work for this summer, next spring, next summer and so on.

Shannon, I'd probably wear the skirt through September and into early October here. And then it would feel too summery. I'll bet Winnipeg would be similar.

Will be honest - a little nervous about the sizing. If it's too large that's ok - Wonder Woman can take it in. But if it's too small....well, that's another story...

Yes Rita - you need another pencil skirt! Seriously, you can't go wrong with a good pencil skirt IMO.

Suz - I agree, it could be worn right to October...oooohhhh I just pictured it with my taupe Clark's lace up booties for fall!

UPDATE: I just looked on the J Crew website and the skirt is there (at least showing up for me!). It's in the SALE section under skirts and still available in some regular and some petite sizes.
