Job interview tomorrow! Here's what I plan to wear.

So I have a job interview in the morning, and it has occurred to me that I haven't posted it here for opinions! I think I've pretty much made up my mind on this, because it's going to be cold in the morning and I don't want to wear a dress. Also, my DH used to work at this place and I am fairly familiar with the culture already and I know that it is fairly relaxed in terms of dress sense.

My main debate is whether to tuck in this blouse. I always feel uncomfortable tucking things in but somehow this seems to highlight my flabby belly. But the trousers don't have belt loops and it seems to look a bit unfinished. I could wear a different top but I still want to err on the side of conservative, and somehow everything in my closet has a bold print. I'm worried that a print would clash with the self-stripe in the jacket.

What do you all think?

Good luck tomorrow! Do you have another solid top with a different hem? I totally understand wanting to err on the conservative side, but I think that leaving the top untucked makes it look a bit unfinished. If not, I think you should tuck it in.

Good luck Mander! I will echo what KL said. I think tucked, or try another top instead. And your shoes are lovely! Having trouble making out details of the other components but it looks like nice detailing on the jacket, too.

I hope your interview goes well...Please be relaxed and comfortable with your clothing choice...If you feel right...you will be able to impress the selling of yourself...
That said...I would tuck the blouse if that felt ok ...Your choice looks very professional...I hope you are able to sell yourself as well...

Yeah, after looking at these photos I'm not really liking the top. Well, I'm not really liking any of it, really, but I can hardly change my body shape overnight.

Anyway, here are some other possibilities:
1: red cowl neck top (the neck is a bit annoying but tolerable)
2-4: black sweater-like tank with funky white contrast neck detail
5: zebra print
6: plain white long sleeved t-shirt (nicer fabric but still just a tee)
7-8: black dress (feels a bit short and cocktail-y for an interview)

Bleargh. I hate this process. Trying to dress for a special event is a sure way to feeling terrible about my body and appearance.

I like the red color on you. I think a slightly stiffer fabric top might also be your friend, if you have one. But more importantly, be ready to go! I recommend this Ted talk and the Wonder Woman power pose as a little confidence booster. http://www.ted.com/talks/amy_c.....anguage=en

Good luck on your interview! I like the first set of photos with the white shirt tucked. Next I think I like the simple black of #2. Then I like the fun pattern mix with the zebra print of 4

The red top is a winner on my book, looks great on you! I also vote tucked if you went for the first blouse, looked a bit more " finished." Good luck on the interview

I vote the red top or the white in original post, tucked. But most importantly, choose whatever makes you feel most confident.

I love your bag and shoes!!! Those are the two items I notice first when I interview someone.

Well, I ended up going for the black one with the cream trim. It made me feel the least self-conscious and I figured that was more important than the actual shirt.

Thanks for the input, all! I'm not sure when I will find out about the job but probably pretty soon.

I like your choice! It has a good "interview neckline" and the fabrication looks more polished. You do look good in the red, though--maybe need to find more red tops!
