Jeans - need advice - YouLookFab Forum

Ladies, please help me make a decision! I finally got a new pair of YLF-compliant jeans, but not sure about the fit. I am not very denim-savvy and made mistakes in the past by going too big in the size and ended up with baggy jeans.
These are J Brand (special thanks to Shiny for the tip). I ordered 2 sizes. I wore the smaller size around the house and they are pretty tight, especially around the thigh (a little outside my comfort zone). My concern with the bigger size is although they are still pretty form fitting, there is a lot of stretch to the material and potentially a lot of room to grow around the waist and hips.

Here are pictures of the smaller size. Is it appropriate?

I haven't taken pictures of the bigger size, but I haven't worn it very much so it looks pretty much the same. Do you think these look appropriate?

Are they the boot cut, BTW?

Provided you can sit fairly comfortably, I would stick with the smaller size. Just don't ever throw them in the dryer. As long as you wash in cold water and hang to air-dry, they *should* maintain any stretch. That is how my citizens are, at any rate.

Patience, these are boot cut, 818. I was also considering cigarettes, but wanted to get something more essential first. I might give them a shot closer to the fall.

They look great. Can you tell me what is the fiber content? How much cotton and how much stretch?

I tend to underestimate how much jeans will stretch, so I would suggest sticking with the smaller size.

San, the content is 98% cotton and 2% spandex. It's pretty stretchy.

Marianne, sorry for coming late to the party, but I agree with everyone. I think they fit very well and that one little line that you're worried about (I think that's the one because I struggle with the same little line) isn't noticeable unless you were told to look for it. A super pair of jeans!
