jeans for the man in your life?

The BF has realized he has a wardrobe hole and wants some nicer jeans. We have True Religion cords for him that he really likes. He owns Levi's old school jeans but doesn't find them comfortable. My thought was to look for True Religion jeans but so far the rises seem to short for him. He has very thin legs and no butt lol. Anyone have a recommendation for a premium demin that's not too flashy but still hip? (he is 50, afterall) He would pair them with some Robert Graham button downs and cashmere sweaters, that kind of thing. Thanks for any help.

My dh has a similar build and he looks fantastic in Levi's 514 Slim and Straight jeans in a dark wash.

My boyfriend and I just went through this because he wanted some new jeans (he's a good dresser on his own, so I'm lucky that I don't have to dress him). He just bought a pair of Citizens of Humanity Jagger jeans. They are slim leg, but a slight bootcut, which he likes because then the jeans break over his pants (with a pure straight leg the jeans end up bunching above his shoe, and he hates that look). He also purchased a pair of Seven A-pocket bootcuts, and he liked Joe's Jeans bootcut ("the Rocker") and relaxed fit options. He already owns Seven relaxed fits and Citizens relaxed fit, but both of those are baggier on the thigh. They sound like they have a similar build, so you might want to look into those styles. I'll be watching out for this! My boyfriend's only pair of jeans right now is a Gap pair from 1.5 years ago. He enjoys them, but I feel he may be due for an upgrade soon. He too has very skinny legs and slim hips...aren't they lucky?

My DH prefers 7FAM--premium, but the pocket stitching/design isn't too flashy for his style.

I purchased a pair of 7FAM classic cut for my man as a Christmas present. They look great on him but he only wears them for special occasions. ; ( I like going in the dedicated 7FAM stores; the employees really know about denim fit (they have slimmer leg fit jeans as well). They have surprisingly good sales too, although I don't know how often. Once a year they have a 40% off the entire store sale, in late Oct-early Nov.
