jcrew inspired outfit

I have been liking the layered necklace look JCrew has been showing in the catalog. I also noticed the mix of high and low looks. I put those all together for this outfit. High - layered necklaces, which seem kind of dressier. Low - a tank stolen from hubby, jeans, and cons. All my tanks are too short for pants. Grrr. I got frustrated and stole one of his. I need some of my own. Anyone have recommendations about where to find some that are a nice pant length?

I like the way you layered the necklaces- good idea!

Good for you for digging in hubbies closet. The tank looks good on you.
My preference would be for the shortest necklace to not be as short as the one you have, it is sort of choker length, which I do not particularly care for. I do love the longer of the strands mixed. This is a very good look for you!

I've actually found my best long tanks at Target. They come in many styles so I look for those that are not ribbed and not racer-backs. The colors available change very often. I also have one from JCrew that works well but has narrower straps than my others. With hot flashes I need a basic layer that can stand alone when it's necessary to peel off other layers.

Lovely!

I think this is a fantastic look for you. I have the same problem with tanks, and often have to steal from my husband as well.

You look amazing Alecia, I think you carry of the look pretty well. Old Navy has some inexpensive ribbed tanks that are pretty long.

Alecia, beautiful! I love the necklaces together.

Alecia, I like the layered necklaces! I agree with San - I like the longer lengths rather than the one that is tighter around your neck.

That's a great interpretation of the layered J. Crew look Alecia! I'm getting inspired too by seeing your outfit :) I like the combo of all the feminine necklaces and the casual ribbed tank (which fits well on you, from what I can tell. Steal it from your hubs!).

Thanks everyone! Good thought on the length of the necklaces. I was trying to accommodate a shorter necklace that I ultimately changed out. As for the tank, it's a little too thin for me. I think I need to look for some of my own. I will admit that I had fun wearing Ross' shirt just thinking that it was his.

I admire anyone with a skill to combine necklaces into a cool like. And Alecia, I admire you. Very nice, and I like how it dresses up your outfit, which is really nice btw.

The layered necklace effect over hubby’s tank with the cardi is KILLER. Wooohooo, Alecia!

Sooo perfect Alecia!! I'm going to save this post and look closely at the pictures again for inspiration. I'm still working on my necklace-layering skills;-)
