Ivory Jacket looks -dresses and skirt

And today I finally got around to trying out your suggestions. I tried every suggestion that I had the pieces for!! I am sorry this makes for so many pieces so I will divide into 2 posts, with this one showing dress and skirt looks. All the pics were taken by DD9 standing on a trampoline and of me unmadeup and without my hair done. And the same shoes in every shot.

My favorite is 1/2! I love this kind of arty, volume-on-volume look, but I realize that maybe it's a bit unconventional. If you want conventionally flattering, I think 3/4 looks great too.

For 5/6 I think I would prefer it without the belt. It seems to be competing with the design details on the jacket. And the skirt look (7-9) seems a bit off to me, I think because the hem of the shirt and the hem of the jacket are too close. I think it might work if you tucked the top though.

I can see that this jacket is super versatile!

Anne, I think that all of these look great! I especially love 1/2. Then 8/9 and then the red dress. But all work!! YLF.

#1 is ultra fab! I agree with Diane's suggestion re: the belt with the red dress. As for the outfit with the skirt, I like it but think I would prefer it with a pencil skirt as the flowy aspect of the jacket competes with the flowy aspect of the skirt.

I really like the neckline of the red dress with the jacket.

Diana I thought exactly the same as you about the belt. Trouble is though that the dress has belt loops and looks really odd without a belt, so if I wanted to take the jacket off, I need it.

Denise, I was wondering about straighter skirts too but at that point I was straining DD's patience somewhat! Will give it a try though.

I wore #7 to church today but with nude hose and black heeled boots (I would have gone with #1 but felt the skirt a little short because I was sitting facing the congregation. I am packing #1 to take to the city for an appointment for DD7 and hope it conveys "interested, educated and committed parent"!
