The fit of these two are identical, but the fabric is slightly different. Both feel like you are wearing sweats. I seriously worry that they are so comfy, I will overeat this winter. :-)

Otherwise, the gray fabric is a bit thicker; both seem warm though. I can tell you the gray doesn't bag out - even after 12 hours X 2 in an airplane. Can't say for the black, since I only rec'd them in the mail today.

I don't know why the pair you posted are $10 more. The rise is 1/2 inch longer too. They certainly look the same, and the fabric content is the same.

At any rate, if you take a size 6, scoop up the ankle length pair AND invest in the longer length ones too. I have a feeling these pants are going to turn out to be the "best buys" for me this season. They are so flattering and comfortable.

I think the second one is the one I have. They are really truly as fabulous as Shiny says. If you are tall it seems like you would for sure want to go with the full-length version as opposed to the ankle-length version, just in case you want to wear them with booties, for example. Right?

I have the black petite ones that shiny has. They are totally comfy. I think they are equivalent to the ones in the 2nd link that you posted.
