Interview outfits

Here are some poor quality pictures of my interview outfit. I think I'm sold on my Angie bag and I like the rest of the outfit, so it's really just a matter of shoes. I will wait for everyone's input before I give my own.

Sorry for the scummy mirror and my chopped off head. I have not had time to clean since I got back and my hair is a mess right now.

I REALLY like the outfit! You look fantastic! I think I like the FS shoes the best but the red is a nice pop of color.

You look fantastic - smart, polished, creative. Perfect! Love the Angie bag. I think I like the FS shoes the best too; the yellow bag gives you enough color. But if they aren't comfortable, then wear the red! You want to be comfortable for this interview. Comfortable = confident!

I cannot decide between the FS and the red ones. I really like the red shoes by themselves and on you with this outfit, but maybe Shiny is right about the bag providing enough color.

Maya, looking fantastic. I like the FS and NYLA shoes better because you have great legs and they provide an interrupted line. Of the two, I like the FS better. You already have green and yellow going on, it might just seem a bit much.

Shiny, I will probably be wearing flats for the actual commute (probably my Swanns). I use my elevator time as an opportunity to switch shoes, hehe. There is a long downhill walk at 42nd street, where I need to transfer trains, so I can't imagine any sort of heel or slippery sole being a good idea!

I'm partial to the FS shoes and the NC mary janes (this reminds me, I need to spiff up my very limited pump collection). But it all depends on the kind of look you what to go for. I'd have the hardest time deciding. You have beautiful legs, too.

Maya, I love your outfit- it looks PERFECT for the job you're interviewing for. I keep going back and forth between the FS pumps, which are probably the most flattering, and the red ones, because I love how the green, red and yellow interact with each other. Either would be a good choice. Also, I am insanely jealous of your legs- gorgeous!

Excellent outfit Maya! A good balance between professional and creative. I like the FS shoes the best, followed by the mary janes. I like the color and the height of the FS shoes for your outfit.

Shiny, FS is Franco Sarto. These shoes are more interesting than they look in these pictures. They are black suede, but with a patent heel.

KILLER. The perfect interview outfit for your line if work! WELL DONE.

The yellow sling bag is the cherry on top. The interviewer has to see you WITH the bag before you take it off!

So I’m the odd one out because I like the red and grey shoes equally as first choice. I like the FS shoes the least with this outfit but they still look really nice. Know what I mean jellybean? Good luck with the meeting! You look 100% the part :0)

OK, well for me it is a tossup between the FS shoes and the red shoes. I am not so crazy about the gray ones. I just don't like that strap. The benefit to the red shoes is that I don't have to carry an extra pair of flats in my bag, so I think I'm going to go with those.

The interviewer will have to see the bag, as it will contain my portfolio

Maya, my personal favorite is the red shoes, although all are pretty.

I really think that the gray mary janes work well with skirts. Actually, because the strap is high on the shoe but the vamp is low, I think it looks more pump-like than most mary janes (if that makes any sense at all.)

I am pretty sure I got the job--not 100% yet, since her boss still has to see my work, but as long as she puts in a good word for me, I think I'm in! Yay!

The outfit was pretty uncomfortable though. The shoes hurt, and the lining of the skirt got all sticky as the day got hotter I need to get a good summer interview outfit.

Maya - great outfit. Perfect for the part. KILLER legs which are shown off perfectly in this outfit. I like the red and the mary janes a lot more than the FS shoes. They speak more spunky, more professional designer, more Maya to me. Good luck on the interview too

I did indeed wear the red shoes Tam. They gave me blisters though, so I had to change into my Ann Klein flats, which just gave me blisters on another part of my foot I think I am swearing off all closed shoes (besides boots) for the rest of the year.
