Finally back to comment and thank you. I was thrilled that several of you thought the coat looks ok as is. Parsley and Suz, the spot that things are always oversized on me is through the bust and under the arms (low armholes) which I've found to be usually too expensive to have altered. You can see that this is a bit big through the shoulders too, although not enough that I look like i'm swimming in it. It will probably be better to keep an eye out for a better fitting trench in pink and then replace this one. Angie's wool coat is too pricey for me and the wool would be too heavy for our usual spring/fall temperatures.
Suz, I can't believe I only had 2 or 3 coats (trench and winter) before YLF. All but maybe 3 that I have now are thrifted or consignment and I've regretted leaving a couple in the shop.
Dizzy Lizzy I've not tried it with my new dresses and need to do that. It will be a lot of color!
JG, you are so right. I hardly ever wear pink and am so happy that this coat came home with me. My SIL has some sort of sixth sense about what will be coming into fashion and home décor before it does. I need to listen to her.
Angie, I could swear that I posted on your blog this morning but must have not hit submit. I love wearing pink for those courageous friends who have fought or are still fighting the big C. They are stronger than I am and my heros.
