Inspiration Calendar attempt

Hello! For March I am trying to follow Kimberly's Inspiration Calendar, and Monday's combo is "Patterned Cardigan and skirt"

Here are two attempts - what do you think? The blue one is more of a shirt than a cardigan , but I was trying to imitate the photo. Since it's for tomorrow, which do you recommend I wear? Of course, suggestions are welcomed and appreciated!!

I like the second one better. It's impressive how much it matches the model.

The second is the more flattering look. The tan cardi in the first looks like it might be too big. It might be better unbuttoned, but the shoulder fit seems off in the photo.

I really like the second look also, it looks great! For the first, I might try either a scoop neck or a collared shirt for the undershirt, then maybe a belt on the sweater to give it more shape? You look great in a pencil skirt!

Yes, the blue is a pretty color on you and goes with the button down nicely. The tan one looks boxy and the shirt under it dulls the colors of the cardi. So maybe a red, black or white button down under the tan cardi and leave it open and add a belt?
