Last year, you wowed us with your version of the BR fall capsule. So, Capsule Empress, are you ready to wow us again? I happen to know you have a snazzy red dress and a couple of fab V neck sweaters that would work!!

I might have to try a version myself, except I don't have a fun red dress or anything resembling that. It seems I buy my dresses in neutrals. Hmmm.

Is it wrong of me to say I just want to go and buy all 8 of those BR items? My favorite color combinations of ALL TIME - red, white and black. That wardrobe would take me through fall and winter no problem.

Wow, the dress looks red on my screen. Well, Ingunn will do red. Pink would be equally fab. Or orange or mustard!

I c o u l d attempt it, but I recall being frustrated last year lol. Lots of effort and not a lot of fruits for my labors. I have equivalent items except the graphic sweater and pink sheath.

Lol, Suz. I just don't have needs for these kinds of outfits at this capsule level. At least this time they are using one of 'my' colors. I could mix berries with black and white until the cows came home!

OK, because I am a giant dork I just typed up notes on this for my future experimentation. Here is the data for your reference while I'm at it:

Items:
1 - black and white striped button-front shirt, long sleeved, collar
2 - graphic intarsia bow sweater, crew-neck, in black and white
3 - wide-leg trousers in white
4 - berry pink sleeveless sheath dress with red shoulder detail
5 - v-neck sweater, berry pink
6 - black blazer
7 - black leather skater skirt
8 - slim ankle pant in dark red

Outfits:
6 + 4: blazer and sheath
2 + 8: bow sweater and slim pants
5 + 7: v-neck pink sweater and leather skirt
1 + 3: striped shirt and white wide-leg trousers
6 + 1 + 8: black blazer over striped shirt and slim pants
2 + 3: bow sweater and wide-leg trousers
5 + 8: v-neck sweater and slim pants
6 + 5 + 7: blazer over v-neck sweater and skirt
6 + 2 + 4: blazer over bow sweater over sheath worn as skirt
1 + 7: striped shirt and leather skirt
6 + 5 + 3: blazer over v-neck sweater and wide-leg trousers

Picking up the gauntlet...
I'm in, with a more subdued palette. Will do the outfits for work and post the pics in 2 weeks, okay? Subbing a navy pencil for the sheath. Like red is Ingunn's signature colour, purple is mine!

3-purple cotton v-neck sweater-?
4-grey twirly skirt-Jessica

6- Dalmatian print sweater-M&S
7-navy knit pencil skirt-M&S

(Sorry about the poor photo quality and colour. Will try to do as many outfit pics as possible out of doors for better colour, but weather and light is a factor, alas. )

I see the pink sheath as superfluous to the mix and maybe just a selling point item for the company? It certainly doesn't mix up much. I like the idea of subbing some other item for it. Go Carla!

To Joy and anyone else who wishes the dress was longer.....I simply order it in a "Tall" and it works for me. Depending on just how short they are a tall will normally come to my knees or just below. I'm 5'5". Perhaps that will work for you too.

Wow, Trishalee, isn't that sort of freaky? I mean, honestly. Since when did 5'5" inches become "tall." But it's a brilliant solution to the stupid length thing.

Do they not make the waists longer, too? Seems silly not to....

I've tried Trishlee's tactic recently --- it did work for me, but I think the waist is lengthened too. Since I'm a little longwaisted with a bust -- that was even better! Many of the styles are on the high waist as it is.
