Inc Ponte Knit Pants review

Just got mine in the mail! I purchased the charcoal gray, as they were all out of the black:

These are amazing!! I am completely in love. They fit like a dream and they truly are as comfy as wearing sweats. I will be wearing these tomorrow for sure - once the capsule challenge is over! And they will be absolutely perfect for a 24-hour plane ride.

San - mine seem to be hitting me at same length as your Theory's. Will have my daughter take a pic for you tonight. These are petites, so they are 29 inch inseam. For comparison, my skinnies are much longer - 32 inches and more. I like this length for these pants. I'm not sure these are meant to have as much scrunch as jeans, since the fabric is bulkier and drapes much differently than denim.

Thank you Tanya for fab-finding these and bringing them to YLF attention!

I would likely add a pair in black if they become available in my size again. If anyone notices 2p back online in the black, let me know!

Those are super cute. Mine look alike, but are AT from several months ago. INC makes a great product I doubt you will have overstreatch issues, and I bet you will get a ton of wear from these.

Mine are also about the same length Perhaps fitting more like a cigarette pant is how they are supposed to fit....more ankle length.

Woo-hoo! I am SO glad they working well for you Shiny. I hope I manage to hold off getting the black ones till they go on sale.

True confession time: DH and I decided last minute to hit a movie tonight, so I broke the capsule challenge and swapped my skinny jeans out for these, figuring a movie was a pretty good test for an airplane trip.

I don't know about anyone else, but when I go to a movie theater, I want really comfortable pants that are warm. Often my feet barely touch the ground (curse of being short), and if I am not able to change positions and sit cross-legged in my seat, I can wind up with back pain. Yes, I am the obnoxious one in the movie theater constantly shifting around in my seat. I have to - the seats are built for tall people. But at least I'm short enough that if you are sitting behind me you have no problem seeing over my head. :-)

At any rate, these pants passed the movie theater test with flying colors!!!! Not only that, but despite contorting myself in the theater seat, they held their shape perfectly.

My only concern is how they will wear over time. I do wonder if they will pill eventually, as knits are apt to do. I hope not. I really love them.

Tanya, I don't want to be an enabler, but at this price, I think they are worth paying full price. I don't say that indiscriminately either. If I saw them in black at full price in my size, I'd buy them right now.

One last thing: the front pockets are fake. It took me awhile to figure that out. I like hooking my thumbs into my pockets, so that threw me for a bit of a loop!

What a great recommendation, shiny! I'm definitely going to check them out next time I'm at Macy's. I see online Macy's is having a sale ($x off when you spend $x), but the shipping $ is a killer!

Would you like these if they were shorter? I'm trying to figure out whether I should go for petite (I'm 3" taller than you, I think), or the regular. I guess I need to try them on, but I don't know if they are supposed to be ankle length or not!

Here's a pic of the new pants:

... with the Zebra Me-Too's that make too much noise. Zappos is sending me out a second pair which hopefully will be better.

Cciele, if you're 3 inches taller, and the extra is all in your legs, the petite may wind up being ankle length on you. What is your inseam?

As for price, these were sort of freebies for me, as I had a credit on my Macy's card, which was a great incentive to buy something so I could use it up.

They look fantastic, Shiny! My clients have been giving them rave reviews too. A nice alternative to jeans.

Thanks Angie!

One thing I can't get over about these pants: they remind me SO MUCH of the gray flannel GAP bootcuts I wore on my very first date with DH, nearly 8 years ago. Not real flannel, more of a synthetic. And bootcut, not straight leg. And not anywhere near as stretchy. Still, they remind me so much of those same pants. I'd still be wearing them today if they hadn't pilled horribly after a year.

My outfit for that date was very simple - this was pre-YLF afterall: black merino wool BR V-neck sweater (which I still own), gray "flannelish" GAP bootcuts and black booties with a square nose and seriously chunky heel (long gone).

All the important dates in my life, I remember what I wore, and it's indelibly etched in my memory. In fact, I remember exactly what I wore on my very first date when I was only 15... but I was just talking about my first date with my DH, so I should get that out of my head. LOL. ;-)

My inseam is around 29", shiny.

I like how those pants look with the zebra flats. Nice!

Love your story about your first date outfits. I can't remember anything from that far back. I think I had those same booties, about 8 years ago ... ;)

They look sweet on you Shiny. I'm dying to try the regular length pair but not until I start getting some sort of income :(

I love them on you Shiny! I stopped by a different Macy's today, but they only had 4's no 2's. I will still wait for the sale.
