I went out to find some jeans yesterday, but came home with a pair of OTK boots. Tall brown boots are on my list and I fell in love with these in the store even though I am not quite "there" yet with the OTK look (especially being *well* over 40 myself...)
So I think, "I can scrunch them down a bit, cause that's a look right now, and if I *ever* want to go wild and do the OTK thing I can fold them up and go crazy!" They are a little more detailed than I usually go for but the details are what I love.
Sooooooo anyhoooo
I come home and start reading places other than YLF for ideas on how to wear the boots very casually as that's my style (dresses? jeans? leggings?) and I read somewhere that I women of a certain age shouldn't wear cuffed boots, or boots with laces as they look too cheap...
Oh man! What have I done?? Am I crazy?? I worried about it all night! LOL
Finally I decided that they are *my* style and I love them. What else really matters? I only wear boots when I'm out of the house, and they have to match my overcoat cause they come off when the coat does, so it won't be like I'm wearing them around the house with the daycare kids...LOL
Here's a picture of the boots. I'll post more (with me in them) when I style them a bit more this week. They are Brown Bridges by Wanted Shoes and I found them at Winners for $69.00!
All that being said, PLEASE tell me if I've crossed a line that I don't know about yet! I want to be stylish, but I'm not that confident yet about things that are out of my comfort zone, (very conservative and kinda boring...)
