If you owned this skirt, how would you style it?

I haven't worn this skirt since December, I just can't decide what to wear with it! Help a girl out...

I was thinking a button-down but I don't current own any and typically feel uncomfortable in them. Any other ideas? The top in the pic is a little busy for the skirt - since the skirt has a ruffle - don't you think?

I agree the shirt you posted isn't quite working. I'm thinking the skirt would be nice with a fitted knit tucked in and a big statement necklace.

I would think a simple form fitted knit top tucked in the skirt would be good. It would really nice with a muted bright color like mustard or lime green because of the leaf-like ruffly front. Red or turquoise are other colors I'd pick.

I have a lot of nice colored v-neck tees, but I was concerned they would be too casual to work since the skirt is more of a wool-like fabrication (almost like a suiting material)?

That's a really pretty skirt and I love it with the boots! You have to tuck in your top with this skirt. How about a fun graphic T and denim jacket? Chambray shirt? Soft blouse?

Oh, I love the idea of a Chambray shirt...(-: I think I might snap up that Gap one. I've been wanting one but don't want to pay an arm and a leg. I'll think about a graphic tee, but I don't have any (honestly I don't think they're really my style; I'm just not that hip!)

I actually like the blouse that you're wearing it with. However, I would pile up on pearl necklaces or a mix of beads,chains, etc to push further the artsy look.
