Note - this seems to have become very long. Hopefully someone will make it to the end of my ramblings, but I won't blame you if you can't.

I love the style monikers you all seem to have but wasn't sure how to shoehorn my eclectic seeming desires. I want to be practical - able to move and not fuss with my clothes. I like tailored clothes for work and heels with those. At home I want to be comfortable, so I can stretch, pop out and do some light gardening, housework, etc but so I can answer the door without shame and leave the house without doing a full change. And when I go out I want to be stylish and confident.

I recently said on a previous post I wanted to be Angelina Jolie (ladylike, practical, amazing tailoring, always looks elegant and feminine but never girly, and can definitely take names and kick a**) meets Helena Boham-Carter (dramatic, feminine, quirky but grown-up, a little bit steampunk). And then recently in real-life I got ready to go for a drink and my husband told me I looked like a pirate- slightly draped trousers tucked into OTK boots, a sleeveless top (all black) and a burgandy fitted leather jacket - with a scarf in a similar colour and a pocket watch inspired necklace. It was easy and comfortable and I loved that he said pirate. So I wonder. Maybe for now I can try being a lady pirate and see how that works for me (im not sure its entirely there, but it's something)

And if those references give you any other suggestions or thoughts I am all ears!
