Hung up on hangers

I know this is such a first world problem, but I have issues with my skirt/pant hangers. I replaced my wooden shirt hangers with those slim velvet ones. Now I have my clunky wooden skirt and pant hangers getting tangled in things and taking up lots of space. Are there slim skirt hangers? Are there other solutions? I must be missing an episode in wardrobe organising...

There are slim velvet skirt hangers too - tiered and clip.

I use a mix of hanger racks and slim hangers with little clips added. Need to update my racks to something slim but for now the thicker plastic kind is fine.

I use these. There are some that are a bit flimsy but the ones I have (from Target I think) are strong. I haven't seen the velvet skirt ones in Oz, if you find them let me know please

Whew - I was thinking I had missed an episode in not seeing velvet hangers etc in Australia... I am a-hunting with your suggestions as well RachyLou and Aida

My favorites are ones like Caro showed but mine have hook thingies so you can stack them. I use them for pants, jeans, and skirts and stack up to five pairs of pants and three skirts at a time. The ones I have with round indentations (like Caro's) have much stronger grip than a nearly identical style I bought a few years back. I bought both styles at Bed, Bath and Beyond.

These are the ones I'm using right now. Not the super slimline style, but they're not awfully bulky either. White to match my white slim velvet hangers. Pardon the inside-out, I don't like clip lines on the front side of the waist bands
