How to dress for party Saturday night...need help! (updated WIW)

My husband and I are going to a party tomorrow night to celebrate a PR firm's anniversary (it's a work-related event for him). I have no clue about the dress code and DH is of little help! All he can tell me is that the party's at the owners' home, and that the guys who own the firm are quite hip and stylish.

Sooo....I want to dress hip and stylish. The weather is supposed to be clear and sunny and about 75-80 F. It's September, so I don't want to appear too summery or too dark/wintery.

I could wear some of the options with my new Okala pumps, seen here:

or one of these:

#1 - Madewell tunic with EF slouchy silk trousers/black kitten heels
#2 - (same as #1 but with VC sandals)
#3 - VC navy tube skirt with cold shoulder bird print blouse
#4 - VC teal tube skirt with kimono and silk blouse
#5 - Silk blouse and VC teal tube skirt

#6-10 - dress options with Okala pumps

Opinions? Suggestions? Thanks so much!

I like the track pants but not with the tunic. Have you tried the Okala's with the track pants? I've let the hems slide over a top ankle strap like that before just to make use of the front part of the shoe. I think they look most trendy and I'm more a pants-person, but then again the tube skirt is going strong and skirts are nice for parties.
I like the turquoise skirt but not sure what to go with it. Your beautiful kimono is hip and very pretty with your coloring and I like that outfit better than the black & white v neck.
Not much help so far but you've got some great options going.

To throw the cat amongst the pigeons a tad... I love the tunic/trackpant combo! I prefer the outfit with the nude VC sandals. To my eyes, I think it looks the most hip. I do agree with Unfrumped that the outfit may benefit from the addition of the Okala pumps, although I can envisage the outfit completed with some dark, dramatic make-up. Good luck choosing!

Thanks, unfrumped and Angela. I'm leaning toward the tunic/slouchy pants. I'm a tunic fan and I'm still a little skittish about wearing the slouchy pants; the tunic helps me feel safe wearing them!

I wanted very much to wear them with the Okalas, but they looked funny; the cuff and shoe strap seemed to be fighting each other.

I like 6 or 9 best, but I always err on being dressier than everyone else if I'm unsure of the dress code. You can't go wrong with a dress that showcases those fab pumps!

I think I like #2 and #8 the most of the outfits shown. I'm really a pants girl so #2 would be my first choice though it is a little on the darker side in color (but it IS Sept. rigiht?). I used to be involved in marketing in a corporate setting and parties like this were often all over the place in terms of dress. Some people would be wearing jeans and artistic tees and others would be dressed like they were going to a more formal dinner event. When a part is at someone's home, I would think it wouldn't be too formal though or they'd let you know ahead of time.

Those shoes are really cool. i like thm with the dresses . I like 6 and 9 the best. 10 is a pretty dress too, but looks like a work dress.

I still like #6 the best. But 2 could work, too, I think...though it does feel a bit dark. Hmmm. Do you have a necklace of some kind to lighten it a bit?

Lots of love for the b/w dress in #6. I'm waffling between #2 and #6 at this point.

Suz, I definitely have some necklaces to lighten up these looks. These are just thrown on without accessories. It's a problem for me, though! My wardrobe right now is very dark when what I need is light, clear and bright.

My favorite is #1. Unlike everyone else I much prefer this outfit with the pointy black flats. I think it looks edgier than the nude shoes. I like 6 also for a dressier option.

#7 is not my favorite of the looks but it has one big advantage in this context - it can read as quite dressy or quite casual, depending.

I like #10 best. Scrunch the sleeve to put a little more casual ease into the outfit.

Angie has spoken! I do like my b/w dress in #10....not sure if it's going to be too warm to wear it tomorrow. I always think of that dress as fall/winter. But we'll see.

Diana, I'm with you on the black pumps with the slouchy trousers. The more I look at #1 and #2 the more I like #1.

Suz, I don't have a coral silk blouse but I used to have a JCrew coral 3/4 sleeve cotton blouse (my first YLF purchase) that I finally let go to good will because I found the sleeve length bothersome. I'm on the hunt for more coral, though (and tomato red, pink, grass green, marigold....). I've got a lot of color catching up to do.

I love the look of #2, although I think the new pumps would coordinate well with that outfit. It definitely strikes me as the most hip/trendy. I also really like #6; it is a safer but striking look.

So here's what I ended up wearing to the party. Angie's pick dress with the sleeves scrunched. Most of the women at the party wore dresses, so I felt appropriately dressed and fab. I LOVE the Okala pumps and can't wait to wear them again.
