(Please excuse the gear - I wanted to try the boots after the feet were well-used).

Rockport with Adidas technology. Super comfy. LOVE the distressing. Love the shaft width. Perfect heel height. Doesn't make my foot look big. I know I will wear the style with all my work clothes, because I would wear my similar, black Fryes in that way if they had a lower heel.

The catch is that I need the 1/2 size up... and that size can only be found for $90 more. My toe baaaarely touches on the right foot, but seeing as how this is a purchase based in comfort, I shouldn't compromise on that front.

If these were Frye, I'd pay the extra $ in a heartbeat, because I know they hold their value. These are every bit as good quality IMO - thick, sturdy leather and beautiful... they LOOK like Frye to me - but do you think they are worth it? I could wait and try to get Veronicas off Ebay for the same price, but then I'd have to commit without trying on and they have a different heel and width. Or I could keep searching altogether.

I've already tried two pairs of Docs, a pair of Fidjis, and the Report Jude booties that did not work out.
