M2T - the things I have gotten from Boden have been beautifully made. They run a bit large (and you have probably seen our endless conversations about what their sizes mean - an 8 is their smallest, and they claim it is the equivalent of an American 0 or 2, but in my experience it's a generous size 2 and not a 0 by any stretch.)

I have two of their coats, and the quality of both is superb. I also had their "Bow Coat" in a stunning deep purple fabric that was just amazing to touch, but the style didn't flatter me.

I would try a few things and see what you think. They do have very generous sales (half off) toward the end of a season.

I have a couple Boden garments; I learned about them through this website. Their quality seems good, based on my limited experience.

I agree with April that you should watch their sales, they often have good deals.

Boden is FABULOUS. I have a few things from them and they are beautiful, fit gorgeously, and are of very high quality. My Boden cream swing coat is the most delicious thing I have ever owned. 100% worth the expense, in my opinion. And the sale section does have some very good deals!

To make matters worse I have now had a look through the baby stuff on there and wow its so so cute. I want to get my little girl some things from there so I am off to investigate shipping costs!

I love love love Boden clothes for myself & the kids (got Easter outfits for both kids). Definitely sign up for their e-mails so you see when they have sales. Their sale prices are more reasonable and so *never* pay full price for anything. Their clothes looks like nothing you would find in my area (rural South, US) and the details are great.

I have several Boden dresses & skirts and highly recommend the Flattering Knitted Dress ... I still wear mine from 2 years ago. It's a thin, fine knit not to bad to pill and not too clingy.

I love their baby stuff. Unfortunately, it's pricey and besides, a ton of people around here wear their stuff so my feelings have cooled down a bit.
Just don't get their non-wool blend sweaters! I have one and it pills like there is no tomorrow. I guess you probably don't need them in Dubai anyway :)

M2T - right now Boden has free shipping both ways plus 10% off (on the UK site). I don't know if that counts for international shipping as well, but it counts for USA shipping and that is international as well since Boden is a British company. And they do ship to Dubai. :)

I bought a shirt on Boden that looked slim and fitted on the website, but was fairly boxy when I got it. It's not a sizing issue, because it's not too big, but it has a bit of a squareish shape that I wasn't expecting. Is that common with their stuff, or was I just unlucky?

I've just received a few Boden items - size on all 3 is perfect. However I wore the shirt for the first time today (took a pic this morning so will try to post it later on this week). One button has already popped off the shirt though - not too impressed with that!!!

The quality is generally good, though I bought some pricy jeans from them that had a defective zipper. My complaint is that they size for a very pear-shaped figure and I am an hourglass. Their tops and dresses are much smaller in the bust than advertised, at least the particular ones I have ordered. I also ordered a summer top that looked adorable on the website but that was cut oddly for my figure. It was fitted in the bust, very loose in the waist, and narrowed at the hipline. I couldn't tell by the description that it would fit that way.
