Jackie - Thanks, Jackie! I wish I were more decisive like you when I get the urge for a change in length. I don't have a salon that I regularly go to or trust, so I often find I don't know where to start when I want to get my hair cut. It's been over a year since I cut it!
Thistle - You are both witty and wise! Yes, lifestyle comes before hairstyle for sure. I enjoyed having my hair dry so quickly when I had short hair, but I also missed being able to braid it. However, I rarely braid it nowadays (mornings are too rushed!) so maybe it's worse being realistic about long hair.
Suz - Yes! I loved the wash and wear part of having a pixie cut, although, I don't miss the bedhead. I never experienced bed head until I had short hair, but then it was easy to shower in the mornings.
Alasse - Thank you! That's really sweet of you to say. I'm not sure if I'm ready to commit to a haircut yet. I've found that there are pros and cons of having short hair as well as long hair. The thing I love about hair is that it grows back, so although new styles are risky at least they are not permanent!
AM - yes, I can relate to that cyclical feeling. At the moment, I'm quite stressed with exams and part of me wonders if this desire for change is just a response to that! Please show us here if you do decide to start the cycle again.
Marilyn - thanks! I definitely enjoyed having short hair. It's just a question of deciding whether a change is really what I want right now.
Isabel - haha. You have the right philosophy there! Hair does indeed grow back. Thanks for your kinds words as well.
Bettycrocker - yes, that was one of the main draw backs I found with having short hair. I spent way more time discussing what I wanted with the hairdresser than I ever had with long hair. When hair is shorter, little changes can make a big difference!
