My new gladiator sandals (find shown) just arrived from Zara. I think I love them even more than the very pricey Chloe ones that they're ripping off (er, inspired by). BUT, I ordered them in two sizes and can't decide which ones I should keep.

Buying shoes used to seem easy to me. In fact, I always bought way too many ! However, my feet have spread a bit since my youth, and a lot of footwear doesn't come in the half size that usually fits best these days. In addition, I have long big toes that complicate matters, especially if a sandal has a pointy toe.

I got some Michael Kors sandals in the larger size last summer (see #3), but I kept tripping over the toes and cutting up the leather on front of the sole with the sidewalk. I wanted to avoid the look I got with #4, an old pair from Topshop. The sides of my big toes would get dirty when I wore them, and, even then, I was tripping on the center-pointed toe. (You can see I really favor ghillies and gladiators

I'm inclined to think my best bet for the new glads is #1. Here they are in a full size larger in #2.

Please advise! I want to send the "rejected" size back a.s.a.p. so someone else can love them.

And please pardon my ragged lack of a pedicure. The winter has been just too much!
