Hopping on the SYC bandwagon for a bit!

This past month has been very hectic for me shopping wise. I bought a lot of stuff and frankly, I do not want to add up the costs and see how much I have overspent! The good thing is that I have been filling the big hole that was my summer wardrobe, plus with all the styling experiments I have been doing I know that each item will be remixed and reworn a lot.

Anyway, even though all the shopping has been worth it, I need a break especially since the annual summer sales will start in Lyon on June 27th and I want to set aside some money for shopping at that time.

So I have decided to do SYC as well, just until the sales start. I am sure it will go well, since I have lots of new stuff that I am very excited to start wearing! The only exception I might make is for summer footwear, either metallic flats or sandals, since it is difficult for me to find footwear that fits and is comfy.

My last purchase before starting will be a pair of denim bermudas (which I tried on before deciding to SMC), but after that I am going to take SYC very seriously - I plan to unsubscribe from emails about promos and sales and to avoid even thrifting and window shopping for a month!

*waving hand* me I'll join you. June is looking to be an expensive month, I need my car servicing, to pay my RAC membership and loads of birthdays and events so there will be no money for clothes shopping x

I think that is an excellent idea Kirti! I will most likely join you not only through June bit till NAS (second half of July). I am currently wrapping up purchases for the summer ( need some casual blazers and maybe more shoes) and hope to be done with it by the end of May. The only exception will be my cocktail wear capsule but I do have an entirely separate budget for that anyway.

Kirti, you can do it! I'm not going to commit to SYC for June yet as I have been eyeing a new swimsuit, lol. Since you have some great new purchases it should be no problem for you.

Count me in, with the exception of a gift voucher I need to use up by then. I'm 'overdrawn' into July with my new shoes ordered and discovered a few things I'd forgotten in my 'other closet' here, so *will* sit on my hands for a while now!

I have done fairly well (not perfect mind you) with SYC for May, so I am in to join you on trying another month of it!

I just thought of one exception - if a bikini, a summer dress (fit & flare style) or light greyish scarf crosses my path, I might buy it. BUT I won't be chasing anything
