For years, I've been on the hunt for the perfect white blouse or top. I marvelled at women pairing a simple white top with blue denim jeans----so effortlessly chic, but never found the right white top for myself. I have a really large bust and dislike wearing light colors on the top as it only emphasizes the size of my bust. I've tried everything - blouses, button down shirts, drapey chiffon tops and structured polyester peplums, and they all looked horrid. I've passed them all this summer and I even went far enough to take 'white blouse' off my shopping list. I resigned myself to the fact that I'll never look good in one, so didn't need one.

Until this one! I was buying a bday gift for a very dear friend when I saw this top Saturday morning. At first I was hesitant to try it; why put myself through another disappointment, or worse, buy the top under the misconception it looked good at the store but never feel happy once I saw it in my own mirror.

In any case, I'm very glad I tried it on. It's a drapey soft top with a little pleated panel at the back. I think it fits just right, skimming my body without drawing attention to my bustline at all. It's going to be the perfect backdrop to showcase my pretty floral summer scarves and some of my favourite necklaces.
