Help please, A dress for my Tipsy Tea Party?

Would love your thoughts on this dress for me to turn 50 in!!! I m having a Tipsy Tea Party, a catered high tea for 30 girlfriends to celebrate my birthday. The tipsy part is the fact that the "tea" is actually going to be a Seagram's Sweet Tea Vodka and Lemonade cocktail. We will also have champagne and wine with our tea sandies and cakes, and plain iced tea for the nondrinkers. No hot coffee or tea in sight. I plan to decorate with lots of pink and white roses, maybe some white balloons too.

Anyway, I love this dress! Is it too overwhelming for small fair haired people do you think? Would it be the case of the dress wearing the lady? Is it too "Kentucky Derby" or "Mackenzie Childs"? I adore the citron, and I know this is very silly, but this dress goes with my inside decor!!

I think I would wear a ponytail coif that day.

I didn't look at the price yet.

I love this dress....especially the chevron print and inverted pleats. And, what an added bonus that it matches your decor. This would make for a very happy 50th....sounds like a fab party!

It does come in petite which could be a help -- I find that regular Anthropologie dresses tend to be for the taller and well endowed ladies. The colors of the dress are some of my favorites, too and the party scheme sounds like great fun.

The dress looks gorgeous, I hope you get to try it on for us. What shoes would you wear with it? To me, the shoes on the model look a bit chunky for the dress. ps - I love Sweet Tea vodka, now I need to try it with lemonade.

I think you should give it a try. Your party makes me think of a a grown up Alice in Wonderland party and this dress looks like a grown up modern version of an Alice in Wonderland dress. You seem to pull off colors and contrast well so I think it might be just the thing.

That dress is stunning! Very unique. I'm not a fan of bows but the rest of it is gorgeous. As long as it fits you well I don't think it would be overwhelming, but the only way to find out for sure is to try it on.
