Help on Pinterest notifications?

Lately my email is floored with notices of who pinned my pin or who likes my pin. Why did this start and how can I stop it?

Seriously, I don't care who re-pins my pin. It wasn't my pin to begin with! I really don't want all these emails but can't find a place to stop the notifications.

I get those too, and I usually just delete the emails unless something in particular catches my eye (if one of my photographs is getting pinned a lot). I'm not sure how to turn that off.

However, the thing that's REALLY ANNOYING THE &*%$ out of me lately is "Related Pins." I hate them. Because I tend to look at Pinterest on my iPhone app when I have a few spare moments, it's impossible to thumbs-down related pins, and my feed is flooded with pins of people I'm not following. It is really peeving me, and I've sent Pinterest a polite but angry message. There needs to be a way to opt out of related pins. It's really ruining Pinterest for me.

no idea how to turn it if, and like you i really don't care. i generally just delete any and all emails from pinterest without opening them.

Yes, I do delete them...I just think it's annoying! There are like 10 a day. Who cares??? Like Pinterest is trying to be FB.

Can you mark them as junk so they go directly into your junk folder?

I don't know how but I got them to stop. Let me see if I can figure out how I did it.

Ok, login to your account, then go to the little gear wheel thing at the top right of the main screen and select Account Settings. There is a notification section and a slider for Yes/No (field is called By Email). I have mine set to No and I don't get these annoying emails anymore.

Thanks abc, I never would have found that! And just to be a total dummy...I'm mainly using my iPad. For the yes/no slider bar it doesn't say yes or no, it just shows red if slid to the right and white if slid to the left. Left is No, correct?

Are you using it via a web browser or the Pinterest app? I have an iPad and I can check mine for you. Just let me know if you use a browser or the app.

Hi abc, I'm using an app on my iPad. The emails have greatly diminished, but one or two snuck in even after I made the changes. But much better than 10+ a day, so thanks!
