I finally got a hold of a pair of Clarks desert boots, which I've been pining for since last year (they were sold out everywhere). I got the taupe distressed suede, seen here: http://www.zappos.com/clarks-d.....distressed. I love them.

Wearing them with straight leg jeans is a no-brainer. I also thought they'd look cute with a corduroy or denim skirt and tights. Any other ideas? I am 40 something, so I want to be age appropriate. My style is mainly classic with a bit of an edge (moto jackets, etc.)

ETA: Here are some photos, the first with my Gap Real Straight jeans, second with Gap leans and a tunic sweater (the leans are on the short side because I always tuck them in boots. I can get longer ones if needed.) The last two are with skinny cargos. I know the sweater is not great styling with these, but I have always had trouble choosing a top for these pants. I like the idea of a more feminine top to contrast, but I am not a frilly/ruffly kind of gal.

Unfortunately, I do not have an appropriate skirt to try with them at this time - and denim and/or cord skirt is on my wishlist.

Suggestions are desired and appreciated! I'm mostly concerned that any of these looks are too young for me. My style is very casual, but I also have a teen daughter and don't want to look like I'm trying to dress like her.

P.S. Apologies for my horrendous photo skills. Someday I will learn how to work the timer on my camera so I don't have to hold it and then everything won't turn out blurry.
