Q&A about individual items, ensembles, and wardrobe

Help me!! How to wear a silk scarf

This weekend I bought a lovely silk scarf (I tought it would spice up my dresses and give more visual interest to the outfit).

The problem is that I'm not sure how to tie the scarf. Which of the options you think is the best?

They all look good though my favourite is the first one. Here's some other ways i like to tie a scarf x

I like them all as well, but I think I like the Angie knot-esque version the most, option two.

rute, I like how you've done it in the first and second pics. The third style just seems to overwhelm your upper body.

I saw a video on Talbots which might help you: http://www1.talbots.com/online...../video.jsp
It's the second video on the page.

Here's another thread dealing with the same question: http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....?replies=8

Hope that helps!

Option #2. Have you tried the Euro knot? That's a pretty scarf.

That's a very pretty scarf, I prefer knot 2 with the dress but think I would prefer knot 1 with a jacket.

joy, the euro not?

This is the way I tied in option 1. Is this the Euro Knot?

I also like option 2 with the dress and would like option 1 with a coat.

Rute, this is what I mean. I hope the link works. It's just extremely easy.

Rute, I would say:
1. With a jacket
2. Perfect with that outfit!
3. The scarf is too big for that style, but it will look great with a thinner, less-voluminous scarf.

LOUISE, OMG, how did you do that last scarf in that ruffly bow like that?! Precise instructions, pretty please!

I like option two, also. I feel like option 1 might work if the scarf was less poofy (to me, it seems a bit overwhelming, like option 3).

I like option #2 best, but try the Angie knot too:

and btw, your English is great, Rute!
