Help me choose specs

My husband ordered five pair of glasses from Warby Parker, but we need you wonderfully fashionable ladies to help us decide. One pair just didn't look good, so here are the four contenders. All of them come in different colors, so if the shade is too dark or too light we might be able to order them in a different hue.

#1- Ballard
#2 - Wilkie
#3 - SInclair
#4 - Chandler

My husband thinks he looks like Larry King, the talk show host, in #1 and I have to agree! He favors a rounder shape, so he likes #3 and #4.

Thoughts? Do any of these work, or is it back to the drawing board? He has a big noggin so finding glasses (and hats) that work for him is tough work.

I like #2. rectangular shape is great. The color has good contrast with his skin/hair too

Interesting responses so far. #2 is very smilar to what he's been wearing..just not as narrow.

Thanks Isabel. Another vote for #2. DH is better in some regards...still some medical problems. You're so sweet to ask. (He's a real trooper.)

#2 reflects the straighter, chiseled lines in his face...which is very handsome.

I looked at the photos without looking at any of the other comments, and #2 was my favorite, hands down!

Okay, I just showed the photos to my hubby for a man's opinion and he votes for #3 or 4.

p.s. I didn't let him read the post or comments in order to get a totally unbiased opinion.

Another vote for #2 - he looks fab in that style! That said, I think #1 is pretty stylish too - close call. Not sure I could pick. Definitely either #1 or #2.

I keep looking and re-looking, and you know what? The pair in #1 have that 'lift' that Angie talks about when referring how to buy eyeglass frames. Can you see it too?

Not trying to be wishy-washy - just that the pair in #2 look super stylish, and yet the pair in #1 make your DH look very handsome - and I'm now leaning toward #1.

I even asked my own DH to take a look, and he he immediately said #2. (just to make me even more confused, I think!).

Is there possibly a frame that might be a cross between #1 (nice lift) and #2 (sharply stylish) on your DH?

Ack - I know I'm not helping.

Again, I liked #2 a lot - but then, there was a really nice 'lift' to the frames in #1.

Hm. Interesting, Deborah. My husband so wants to get away from the #2 look and into the rounder shape of #3 and #4. Is this a trend only guys know about?

VC, I appreciate your (and your husband's) opinions. I see what you mean about #1, but DH has developed an attitude against that frame (the Larry King thing...haha!). But you're also advocating for #2, which is the strongest contender so far.

This is tough Nancy! At first I thought #1 but if DH sees Larry King that will never do. Then I thought #2, but he is trying to move away from that style. I don't think any of these round frames really quite work though. Glad your handsome DH is feeling better!

Not reading the other responses first so I am responding without outside influence...

First of all, excellent taste in shirt/jersey! Now if they would just beat those &$%#^* Yankees!

On to the glasses. I like 1 and 2 -- at first glance I thought 1, but upon second viewing I prefer 2.

Definitely not #2. Too harsh and a little uninteresting.

I vote #3 best - killer - and #1 a close follow but a little narrow.

I can see that everyone is onboard with #2! You DH has some angles on his face. His face is also longer than it is wide. wider rectangular glasses as opposed to the rounder frames balances the length of his face out.

No way #2. DH looks like a *nice guy* in them. Kiss of death.

Hands down, #1 is my choice. DH looks friendly but confident and most handsome.

Mr. Nancylee is a sweetie! And Angie voted for the round ones. My hubs wanted a pair of round ones, too!! So it must be a guy thing. Very interesting. At first I was inclined toward #2, but then I didn't like how they cut across his cheekbones. #3 seem to fit better than the others.

I thought number 2 all the way, but I live amongst a lot of hipsters so that may have subliminally influenced me. #3....dunno. There's something about the shape...but his liking it is the most important factor. Anyway he's a very handsome guy!

Without reading the other comments I would say #3 hands down. They look great and have character. The first ones don't give much of a statement and the second ones look blah to me. And I don't like the shape of the last ones.
