Help me choose a silver necklace

I have been thinking about getting a signature chunky silver necklace for a while. I love my pearls but sometimes they draw out unwanted comments in my lab. Necklaces are my preferred piece of jewelry to wear. So I figured that a somewhat neutral piece that I wear very often would not draw so much attention yet still allow me to feel like me ( sometimes I feel somewhat 'naked' when I know the outfit would benefit from an accessory).

So I am curious to know what you think about the idea in general as well as about these particular pieces - which one do you like the best. Many thanks!

This is tough. I think I like either the small geometric links necklace:

It's hard to tell which would be better without seeing them on you, but I'm leaning towards the large. It's still less than one inch, so not too overbearing, but has a nice presence. I think either of those could be casual or dressy very easily.

I'm partial to the ones with the triangles and the spirals. All of them are interesting though. I haven't really seen anything like these before.

Maya, I haven't graduated yet, it will happen in about a month. I am just choosing my reward in advance so that I can get that extra motivation to work like crazy. So I will only be getting the necklace once I am done, but it's nice to look forward to that.

I had no reason for choosing the ones I did aside from personal preference, so Ana probably has the right idea.

I doubt you'll be failing anything in this last month, so I think my well wishes are still justified

Tanya, those are beautiful! For you I like the second one 030009. It is unusual with its organic shapes and can be worn casually. As someone who makes most of her jewelry, triangles are hard to wear and tend to turn ways you don't want them to so that you are always fussing with them. The spirals are nice but seem dressier and the spiral silver pieces are much more common. I did a necklace with them interspersing them with grey pearls a few years ago.
You might also consider a string of round silver beads that resemble a string of pearls. I think I saw some at Macys and have been thinking of them myself.

Another vote for the second one! It's so funky and unique- I love the organic, ice cube-like shapes. The smaller one (first) is nice too, but I really like how bold the larger one is.

Are you leaning toward any particular one, Tanya?

I also really like the second one, and I was thinking about the triangle one too, but after reading Joy's comment I'll definitely skip the triangles.

I absolutely like the first or the second one the best. They are the most modern to me, and I think they fit best with your style. The other ones all seem a bit earthy and boho or else slightly dated to me.

Without looking at anyone's else’s comments, #2 is hands down best. #4 gets my next vote. Was there consensus?

He he Angie, most of the people did indeed prefer #2, so that's what I will probably go with. And it also happens to be the most affordable one

I like the triangles, but Joy makes a good point. Also, would these necklaces be hard to polish? Maybe not. I've polished a lot of silver though, and some is easier than others.

I like the second one. I also like the triangles. It's hard to tell without seeing them to scale.

Laura makes a good point about polishing. It's not always easy to polish such intricate pieces.

I have one and I love it to pieces. I call it my Mad Men inspired pendant But it's not as versatile as a chunky necklace.

I love those Elsa Perreti designs. I might get something like that latter ( I am libra) but for the graduation I am just looking for something more unique and more versatile.

I vote #1, that's the larger one, right? The videos are really helpful, they give you a good sense of the size of the necklace.

Tanya - I've missed your presence on the forum. So nice to have you back - welcome! And almost congratulations. I haven't read others' comments but my far out favorite is number 2 with number 1 and number 5 as second and third but much further down the list.

Tanya - so wonderful to have you back! I am deliberately not reading what anyone else said lest I lose confidence in my opinion (and jewelry is such a personal thing) but for me it's no contest: the second one, with the irregular shapes.

The others are nice, but the unusual shapes of #2 makes it my favorite, whereas the identifiable geometric forms of the others makes them a bit more ordinary.
