Harking back to a pre ylf look.

I threw this outfit together just wanting to be comfy for Saturday errands. I think it looks quite nice, and better than it photographed. But it occurred to that it was very similar to my look prior the forum ie pre 2008! I don't really mind for what is essentially loungewear.
Any comments and criticism welcome

You look comfy and I like the colors together. I could see the top and topper working with jeans in a different blue from the jacket or black.

It's a cute look and I don't think there is anything 'wrong' with it. I do prefer the top half of the outfit though and would love to see it worn with jeans too:)

I do indeed like that red and own a lot in it so I'll be set up for next winter! And yes the outfit is cosy. But I wish I didn't have this impulse to send you in my bad outfits and not post any of my good ones!

I am going to try out the jacket with maroon skinnies tomorrow. It does look better with pants (though I have worn it with a tube skirt and thought it looked quite good) and I think looks better done up. When I bought it at an op shop a few years ago denim on denim was frowned upon so I only ever worn it with my one pair of trousers, so it is almost an orphan.

Well, it looks like you were doing quite nicely pre-YLF! The outfit looks stylish as well as comfy--certainly well above most loungewear standards! I love Deborah's comment and totally agree with her.
If you're looking for variations to try, what about a shorter jacket over the top and skirt? And I like your idea of pairing the jacket and top with maroon skinnies.

It's always a great thing when a lounging outfit is nice enough to be worn out of the house for errands. That's win-win in my book, and I'm sure you look better than most others out there on a Saturday morning! I can imagine comfort is key after you've been dressing for the office all week.
