Hello and welcome to the first HM of 2015! Now that the dust has settled and we're all back into the swing of things after the Christmas and New Year festivities, I thought it would be good to start thinking again about our gratitudes and blessings, or just sharing good news etc. I often feel that this time of the year can be pretty tricky to negotiate. We tend to put pressure on ourselves to make resolutions about all sorts of life aspects when perhaps we should take that pressure off because January can be such a hard dark month to get through. Maybe baby steps are what';s needed and focusing on a few positives. So why not join me?

Ok, I'll start of as usual... Rather than hurl myself back into work last week I did some tidying and sorting, and purging in my house. I did a couple of small sewing jobs for myself to get me in the right frame of mind for work and I sorted out a niggle with my car. I'm now feeling really happy about the tidiness of my living space and ready for work.

I had a lovely evening with pals on Friday, celebrating a pal's birthday with a curry. 10 of us went and we had a blast ,including playing blow football across the table with foil covered chocolate balls, and one lady taking a group photo using her telescopic selfie stick! Hilarious! Not sure we'll be allowed back in the restaurant again though!

Yesterday was also nice, as we finally got around to seeing the final Hobbit film at the cinema, followed by pizza..yum

Next week I will be back sewing for clients again and planning my next project for my own clothes too I'm grateful for clients who are loyal and who don't rush me

More gratitudes... DS settling back at school nicely.... my mum knitting me a lovely red sweater...DH emptying the dishwasher... my car problem not costing anything as it was a mistake by the garage

Over to you now. Don't forget links and photos if you want.
