I got the Classiques Entier "Aster Weave" jacket at NAS http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/cl.....ultback=52 and the single button closure is a plain black button, as shown below.

I happen to have a single, vintage, black, cut glass button that I love and that is the exact size of the one on the jacket. Even I can remove one button and sew on another -- but should I?

Hack, or hold back?

Oh, sure, why not? You can always change it back if you decide you didn't like it.

Not a single YLF-er is going to argue that changing the button will compromise the integrity of the jacket, blah blah blah?

In that case, the button change must be made!

But Sarah, as much as I applaud your "do it now" approach, I am out of town with my son, visiting my... husband :)... so it must wait until Monday.
