H&M bag on a human (me)

Here is the bag with more of a sense of scale. It is bigger than I thought, or perhaps it just looks that way because I am short. Whatever it is, it's the perfect size for me...not too big or too small, and very lightweight.

Also featured is a dress from H&M. It was still there yesterday for $15 in my size! I can't remember what it was when I got it but it occurred to me I did not feature it in my stirrup leggings post. The print is more purple in person. The neckline is higher than I would normally wear, but the trapeze shape of the dress minimizes my chest enough that I figured it was okay.

The Swanns have been stretched to the best of my ability. I haven't road tested them and have no idea how they'll hold up but we'll see.

FAB bag, Maya! I really like that style. I can't put my finger on a name for it, I just know it appeals to me as well. I don't think it's too big for you.

Awesome outfit all around!!! I'm taking notes :)

You look super cute in that dress and that bag is perfect don't you think, not too big to my eye. I love the color!!

Maya, I love your whole outfit- and the bag is great. The dress looks perfect on you.

I really love this look. It's urban, youthful yet polished, and very fab. (It's funny - I never ever think of you as short.)

KILLER. (Despite the high neckline).

Love everything about this look! The bag is perfect and the frock is delish. The stirrups add an unexpected dimension. Add a headband and you’ll do Twiggy proud. Very fab.

Love the whole thing!! You look great!!

I rarely leave the house without a headband these days Angie. I have a fat houndstooth headband that might work, but I haven't worn fat headbands in a while now. It would cap me off in black and white at both ends. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing. I need to find a nice nude lip gloss to really get this look together...

I hope the high neckline isn't that bad. I confess that this is why I have been avoiding posting it--I couldn't stand the idea of it being rejected.

Jean, I forgot to reply to your other thread but I got my stirrup leggings at Urban Outfitters. Mine cover a lot of my foot though, which may or may not be your thing (my feet are small though). They are mostly cotton and very thin, so I find them to be more like proper leggings and less like hosiery.

Thanks Maya,
I am dying to try them but have not gotten around to it. They fit your style so well!!! Happy to see they work with flats, did you try the Oso Privos?

Great bag and dress Maya! I'm so glad you were able to find some fabulous things, since I know you've been a ban lately. The dress fits you perfectly, and I love it with the stirrup leggings. Very arty.

Love the look, Maya! I don't think the neckline is too high, and the bag is a great size for you. Like you said, not too big, not too small. And the white adds such a nice summery pop.

Wow Maya, I simply adore everything about that outfit!!!

Ditto, what everyone else said. The outfit is fantastic on you-- the white bag is just the icing on the cake with the dark outfit.

Maya, I'm in love with your white bag. It is just perfect. As is your outfit. I'm glad you found what you wanted at the prices that you did, so we can see you rock new outfits :-)

love this! thanks to your post on the h&m sale i went and got some goodies myself yesterday - and saw your lovely white bag in person! i was tempted by it, but got another crossbody instead, as well as some other things... actually come to think of it now i'm not sure whether i should thank you or not... LOL.

I am an enabler Hanna :p I do not apologize for this.

H&M's collection of crossbodies is pretty impressive. I have been having a hard time finding any (much less finding any that match my material preferences, price point, and color preference) so I really hit the jackpot there.

Maya: Great look overall! I love the bag, the dress and flats, but I'm particularly fascinated by the leggings. Similar leggings are in my radar. Can I ask where you got it in US? (I'll be back soon and the only one I liked here was in fuchsia.)

Even I found myself buying a crossbody bag (white+gold) at H&M the other day. I almost never wear crossbody bags, but I couldn't pass on that one.

Did you get a different bag, LoP (sorry have you given us your name and I just missed it)? Mine is white and gold as well.

The leggings are from Urban Outfitters and they are by Sparkle and Fade. But I should mention if you are over 5'7 they probably won't be the best option. I am 5'2 and they have a high-waisted fit (which I love), but for an average height/non-petite person they will probably be more mid or low rise. I don't think I would recommend them for tall ladies. Angie is average height and found hers at Nordstrom.
