After staying at work until 7:00 last night, I rode home last night only to have a cab side swipe my front wheel and I toppled over on my shoulder. I was in complete shock with what happened and of course in quite a lot of pain. There were a few people who were trying to help me and the cabbie got out to check on me then left after a few minutes...so the witnesses tell me. Unfortunately, no one saw the name of the cab company and neither did I. Police was called and I filed a report and EMT showed up and wrapped me up like a major accident victim, and took me to the hospital with my bike. Bike was bit mangled although you couldn't really notice it.

At the emergency room, one of the nurses was kind of to tell me that my dress was cute and hope I didn't ruin. I had to laugh.

Doctor said I have a minor dislocated shoulder and there's not much you can do with it except to put it on a sling and take lots of pain meds. If the pain persists for more than week, then I'll have to see an orthapedist. Meanwhile, my left pinky is all swollen and my left thigh has a major scrape on it and I'm not allowed to work out at all. POOH!! And it's hard to put clothes on and off.

Last night was not fun if you can imagine. Anyway, that was my night. It could have been a lot worse when you here all these horror stories of bicyclists being hit. I was one of the lucky ones.
