Lets meet at 9am at Urbane for breakfast, just because it's very central. Do let me know if you're attending so I can make the reservation. So far I have:

I had said I was coming when the idea was floated a few months ago, but our dollar against yours right now makes the trip absolutely out of the question. I am so sorry as I had so wished to meet some of you, and Angie especially , but travel to the US is now in the luxury category for us Canadians. Hotels in excess of $300 etc....I'm sorry , but can't justify the cost to my family . I so look forward to seeing pictures and hearing all about it!

Sorry you won't be joining us Lisa! I remember when the US dollar was below the CAD just a few years ago. We US residents should all be taking trips to Canada this year, and support the Canadian economy while getting a deal!

So how did I miss this thread four days ago? So glad I caught it this time. I booked my rental car. What is the best parking in this area Angie? Another option for me is to take an Uber; I am staying in Ballard which is around 5-6 miles from downtown.

I am counting the days impatiently! I see rain is in the forecast for most of the weekend.

I was thinking of bringing my Vince wool coat, it's unlined but somewhat warm. This is my most recent piece of outerwear, from 2013, and I didn't even use it last winter it was that warm. Then I thought maybe an old London Fog trench coat, not warm but I can layer. Plus an umbrella. Do I need gloves, hat, scarf?

Denise, I can't wait to hug you again! Counting days with you. Take an Uber. SOOOO much more relaxed. Leave in plenty of time because Seattle traffic is one of the worst in the country. And Ballard is a fun neighborhood so check that out with your friend if you can.

It has gone VERY wet and gloomy in Seattle. Pretty though, and extremely green. Bring your Vince coat and an umbrella, Denise. Maybe a scarf too. No need for gloves and hat. I will definitely be wearing a Winter coat, but no scarf, gloves or hat. And I always carry an umbrella. And make sure those feet are happy!

I will be leaving the gathering at about 2pm on Friday because I have guests in town. Party on without me! I will see you all again on Saturday though - and for most of the day.

Thank you Angie for the information about traffic and attire. I feel I will be prepared now. We will be thrilled to have you on Friday and although I am sure we'll want to lock you in our arms, we understand you have guests in town that night.
