For those who switch handbags frequently

I am intrigued by the idea of switching handbags, but the reality is that I just don't. The right bag really does good things for a look. I see it with many of your pictures and aspire this this. So I bought myself a couple of bags for fall that I lovelovelove as inspiration to do this. Any trips to making it easier? How do you organize your bag? Where do you keep your bags? Where do you leave your bag at night?

Jillian, I keep all my bags in my closet - and I do switch them often! I tend to carry larger bags, so I have a cosmetic bag and a small clutch which I toss in to the larger bags to make switching and finding everything easy.

I switch bags several times a week and use a purse insert to make it quick and easy:

There are other brands, but this one works very well for me. I just lift it out to transfer from bag to bag and it keeps larger bags from becoming a black hole.

Yeah for this thread!!!

I did a major purse-clean out today, including cleaning/moisturizing my cream bag, purging old receipts, and corralling unused coupons.

I was thinking "Gee I know someone on this group mentioned a purse insert" because boy do I need one!!! It'd make my life so much easier, as I'm always forgetting to transfer things such as coupons (thus missing out on deals) and my checkbook (rarely needed - but chagrined because it's always NOT in my purse when I do!).

Jillian - we are very pressed for space in our house, so this is where I store my purses:

... right near the front door. I keep occasional or out-of-season bags in one cabinet, and current-season bags in the other. Whichever purse is currently in use at the moment, sits on top. All my good bags are in felt bags to keep them from getting scratched.

Also curious to know what size purse insert you have, Kyle....

I bought the medium...should have gone with the large -- but it works for me.

I switch my purses pretty often, but I do have a favorite. I tend to keep all the small stuff organized in a couple of make-up bags, so most of the time all i have to do is put three little bags from one purse into another.

Kyle, I love that sleeve! I might give it a try at some pint.

I keep my stuff in a clear plastic make up bag that zips closed. That way I can see everything, and it's small enough to fit into any of my purses and easy to switch. Plus, if something leaks, the purse doesn't get all ruined.
