For Natalie and K/R: Given Then Gathered Anthro dress on sale

I remembered this dress from your birthday post, and when I went to check it out after returning an item to Nordies, I saw that it was on a "till we say so" special for $70!

The striped one did follow me home - I got the XS regular but did contemplate a petite size as well. I think if this was my normal weight I'd have gotten a small, but since this is my sedentary weight, I stuck with XS. I also tried on the blue to compare and the fabric seemed a fair bit more clingy and unflattering in the thigh area.

So can I keep it? Mine is the XS in #1-2. The pooch will be less with some exercise. I feel way better about this one than the Aidan Mattox... feels like jammies, but I think I can dress it down for casual wear, crazy for band performances, and maybe even dress it up enough for a wedding.

For comparison the S is #3, and the blue XS is #4 - very pretty color!

Oh, Rae - this is super fab on you! I'm thnking it should be the XS blue! The XS striped is fab, but dramatic in a less versatile way.

Dang it - now I'm putting this in a shopping cart too . . .!!!

The size looks good, better than the S. I love the stripes on you & they fit your style, but how could you leave the blue one behind?

ETA: it looks like the striped one is $70 and the blue one is full price. I can't say that I like the blue one 2.5 times more than the striped one -- because the striped one is very striking!!

Oh, interesting! The colored ones were on sale as well at the store I went to. Darn those saddlebags of mine, or I probably would have gotten the blue as well and still have spent less than the dress I returned!

Rae I think it's stunning on you. It's very you and can be dressed up or down. I love the stripes on you but blue is gorgeous too. Permission to keep:)

Are you super excited about it? I do like it but it is not a 10 to me. I see the same fit concern that made me return mine. I do not like how the fabric lays around the midsection. There is a drape above, a drape below and the center is flat. What gives? I think that acts like a "frame" to that area. I am super picky but perhaps that does not bother you or you don't see it at all.

Zap, I do love it. I actually prefer the flat midsection, because any drape around there turns me instantly into a brick with no waist... my waist is so short it just can't take the fabric.

In fact I put it on again and the more I look at it I think I might order the blue in SP and see if the saddlebags look any better, too...

I love the striped XS on you! That would be perfect with a black leather jacket and booties for one of your rock videos. I think the blue is gorgeous on you too! Thanks for the tip on the sale. I forgot about using my birthday discount, I was too busy at work, but I may have to check out the blue dress again now that it's even cheaper than it would have been with the 15% discount.

I hope you try it out - it is SO comfortable. Possibly moreso than the B44. I have just ordered the blue as well... dress twins FTW! Love the idea of a leather jacket over this - come on, Fall!

Rae, I'm very tempted to jet over to the store and try on the green version. I keep coming back to look at how the dress fits on you. The neckline doesn't look quite so uncomfortably high as I feared it could be.
