All of those won't work for reasons other than the price Tanya. The first one could possibly work but the tie thing leaves me cold. It will probably hit too low on me, like always.
Second one is gorgeous but probably won't fit my chest. It's my favorite out of the bunch though.
Third one could possibly work, but I still wonder about fitting my chest. As I complained about in my other topic, all I see are empire waists and more empire waists. They are hit or miss for me. If they do manage to fit, it usually means that the seam is pulled down so far that 3/4 of my chest is popping out. At least this can be cured with a camisole though, but these dresses are all so pretty that I feel like wearing a camisole kind of ruins them. It's also not so convenient in the heat. I know this sounds hypocritical since the one Laura posted (and one that I own) has a raised waistline, but somehow this one looks like it doesn't have as much space. Maybe the wide waistband is throwing me off. I guess it's one of those things I would have to try. These two dresses did not work on me unless I went up to a medium, and then they didn't fit anywhere else:

Fourth could work, but again sure about the ties. I also feel more comfortable in faux wraps.
Fifth would not work at all. Empire waist, gathers under the bust, and all that ruching around the chest area are all wrong for me.
Sixth has the same issue with the tie belt as the others.
I know I sound horribly picky but it's not my fault! I guess what I'm looking for is simplicity. I just want a boring, plain dress. No ties, no gathers, no raised waistlines, no tabs. I can always make it more interesting with accessories, but any time a dress has details to add interest, those details are almost always unflattering or ill-fitting on me. Virtually every dress I have seen (and you have proven this even more Tanya) has either a waist belt or an empire waist. It's sooo frustrating. The perfect dress would keep all the details in the sleeves. I like wearing things with interesting sleeves because I have the arms and shoulders to pull it off.
If this was longer, didn't have the chest pocket, and not tshirt material, I would probably go for it:

That's the level of boringness I'm after. I know it's not the YLF way, but to be honest, I kind of lose interest in style and fashion in the summer because I generally do not like summer clothing and I definitely do not like being hot. I just want dressing to be easy without looking like a slob. Other than that, my standards are pretty low. Winter brings out the happy dresser in me.
Oh, I am also trying to keep the price under $60 a dress, so even with discounts, I don't think I could bring the price down far enough. BCBG does not seem to be in my future.
