For Elika - get-together in the Netherlands

Hi Elika

I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but aren't you back in the Netherlands at the moment?

LegacyOfPearl and I are planning a get-together somewhere in May (we still have to set a date etc.) and I was wondering if you'd like to join us.

You can contact me via the Email me feature on my blog:

This would be the first YLF European meeting I think. Can't wait!

How fun! Hope you can make it Elika. Since I'll have some guest all over May, late May early June is a better time for me. Looking forward!

Oh wow, a post just for me :D But yes, I'm indeed from the Netherlands and ofcourse I wouldn't pass up a chance for a european meet-up! So nice of you to think of me!

Gotta run off now, but i'll get in touch :)

FABULOUS! I can't believe I'll miss it :0(

I got your email today LOP, thanks! I'll reply tonight.
Elika: great that you want to join us! We're probably going to pick a date somewhere in June, convo us;-)

Oh yes, Angie, having you here with us would really be the cherry on the pie!!

Oh wow, how much fun would this be! I can't wait to hear how plans shape up and where you'll be lunching and shopping.

Wow, YLF meetups are going international! I hope you guys can make it work. Maybe you'll have other fans come out of the woodwork to attend!

BTW, Inge, thanks so much for offering to meet up if we come to Brugge - not sure what our plans are (my husband is scared to death to leave the kids for several nights with his parents so this is taking alot of arm twisting on my part) but I will definitely let you know!

Elika: are you free on Friday, the 5th of June or Saturday, the 6th?
This would suit both LegacyOfPearl and me. Let us know?!

Laura: you know how much I wanted to join you in NY, I can scarcely believe we'll actually be having a mini-meeting here! (I still want to meet all of you lovely lasses in person too though!-)

Shana: It would be marvellous, wouldn't it. But I completely understand your 'dilemma'. Keep twisting that arm (gently of course;-) and keep me posted!

Inge; I just send you a very bouncy e-mail! But only after clicking send did I realize I could have just written it in Dutch.... Oops.

Oh well, must have been the enthusiasm :) Exciting stuff!

Oh, I just got a message saying delivery notification failure... Something seems to not work with the e-mail.

Either way; I have exams on the 5th of june, but the 6th is still free in my agenda, so maybe that could be an option?

As for further contacting; there isn't a private message option or something like that on the forum? Or another way to get in touch? Or did I click the wrong link on your blog?

So sorry, I'm such a techno-dummy!

Hi Elika!

I'll connect everyone if you contact me via: http://www.legacyofpearl.com/page/13966

Are you having fun at Queen's night? My son is sleeping so no partying for me.

Looking forward to our little YLF-Euro spree! :)

I can barely stand it! I'm considering joining you. Where are you meeting in Nederland?

Posted 6 months ago

Yay! That would be wonderful. We're thinking of Rotterdam, but haven't decided. Any tips on where to meet?

Posted 6 months ago

Oh, wow! To actually have you around would be amazing, Angie! I don't really know what LoP and Inge had as a plan, but I'd love to hear!

LoP; thanks for helping with getting in touch. I send you an e-mail through the form, so hopefully that works.
For tonight, I'm actually studying! Not what anyone expects, but it has to be done. Will you be going anywhere tomorrow? I'll probably take a poke around then, but not with too many orange accessories ;)

Btw, Rotterdam would be fine for me. I fact, if I remember correctly, I think I'm from more or less the same area as you (LoP) so it shouldn't be hard to decide on a location :)

Hi Elika... I mentioned Rotterdam since my husband and I bring our visitors there to shop. I'm open to any other suggestion.

Studying makes the two of us. I need to send a complete draft of my dissertation in a few weeks! A bit distracted as you can guess. :) I was telling Inge that I'm thinking of mentioning YLF in my thesis with a gratitude for keeping me sane in this process.

I'll probably go outside to get some fresh air and look at the garage sales tomorrow. Should be fun.

Rotterdam! It’s been a while since I was there and I don’t know the shopping area in that neck of the woods at all. My Dad lives in Arnhem. I’m most familiar with that stadje en Amsterdam. I do LOVE Amsterdam ladies and it's close to Schiphol which is super convenient. I have some thinking to do.

Good luck with the swotting and thesis clever lasses!

Something's gone wrong at my internet provider, hence the mail problems, sorry. But LOP has managed to put us all in touch, marvellous!

I've heard good things about Maastricht too, any opinions on that?
My last visit to Amsterdam was ages ago, and I've never set foot in the Rotterdam shopping district before, so it's all good for me;-)

Angie: YYY, hop on the plane and join us!!

I'm flexible about the location. Maastricht might be a bit far. I've been there on vacation couple of years ago and I remember seeing less affordable brands. Maybe I wasn't at the right location. I wasn't trying to shop so haven't paid much attention.

Angie: Are you really planning to come? It would be the best of the surprises!
