At breakfast Saturday morning Denise & I were discussing rolling up sleeves of shirts. I'd just seen this video on UneFemme's blog, and promised to post it.

Since I've always rolled in one of the inappropriate ways, I guess I'm glad to know a new and improved way. Part of me wishes it wasn't all so complicated.

I was only able to attend the Saturday morning breakfast of the Ingefest, but it was such a fab occasion. Thank you so much, Angie, for planning and being such an incredible, thoughtful hostess. It was so nice to see you again.

I met many but not all of the out of towners. Everyone was even better in person than online. Especially enjoyed hanging out over breakfast with Denise and Claire.

Inge, it was wonderful meeting you. I hope your month in Seattle is special.
And thanks for the yummy chocolate!

Thanks for posting the link! Off to check it out, as I am a total failure in the sleeve-rolling department myself. Instead of effortlessly-chic, I end up with a haphazard, wrinkled mess!

LOL! I love the lipstick contest! A friendly JCrew SA taught me the "JCrew roll" about 8 years ago, and I've never looked back. I'm glad to know I'm Jenna approved.

Ha! I did the Jenna roll today on my grey chambray shirt -- without knowing it had a name. It doesn't always stay put well on a softer shirt though.

I would fail the lipstick thing so badly. But I look ridiculous in bold lipstick anyway.

Nice interview. I will have to try the Jenna roll sometime...although right now I need something to work on softer shirts. I have a rayon shirt that looks messy when I roll the sleeves, even though it has tabs to keep them up!

The lipstick challenge was fun. I don't do well even when looking in a mirror, ha ha.

Another fan of the Jenna roll (just didn't know it had a name). And I can put on lipstick without a mirror pretty well - but then again I don't wear very bright or very deep tones.

I think I've been doing the Jenna roll or something like it, I just think of it as pushing the sleeves up and folding over the cuff. Tip: it's a lot easier with a French cuff. Anyway I will be sure to give proper credit next time I do the Jenna roll, in the interest of not being a plagiarist!

I tried the Jenna roll today and it stayed pretty well. Now to master lipstick

Didn't realize this had a name, I've been rolling my sleeves like this for years. You can add an extra little flip on the back half if you need more stabilization with softer fabrications.

Ha! I had done this to my denim jacket just the other day! Now I know the name for it.

And I think lipstick is the only makeup I could successfully apply sans mirror. Then again, some I can barely manage with one!
