First time pics - NAS stuff, dressing my style, etc.

I will say it feels a little weird setting up the camera to photograph myself. Some of you are fabulous at posing for the camera but I definitely need practice!

Yesterday I received a few things that I bought on-line through the NAS and am very excited to show them.

Purple IF jacket ... this thing looked a mess when I opened it. It's a jersey knit fabric and was wrinkled to heck. It's the only item I'm unsure about.

Also, I believe I said my style was practical, feminine, & classic and that's what I want it to be. So I'm posting a pic of myself in a tee & jeans. You probably can't see it in the picture, but the tee has pleating across the neckline and a fluttersleeve. All my tees have some special detailing about them, and any that don't are used for working out.

I added a khaki jacket, also with some pleating around the shoulders. I will say though, this looked pretty vanilla & boring. So I switched the tee out for a silk top I love and that's me to a T.

And I'm also posting a pic of one of my favorite dresses this summer. It's from BR and is a really drab color, but I love the orange belt and patterned shoes with it.

Hi Melody...thanks for posting pics of your NAS goods! I love them all on you (even the questionable one...I can't see any wrinkles from the photo). I have that blue Suzi Chin dress and love it. I've already styled it 10 different ways and I think it will be very versatile. I really like the orange belt with the BR dress as well. Thanks for sharing.

Btw...if you don't mind me asking, where in the "deep south" are you? I'm in middle TN.

Wow. These look good on you and you seem to have a great sense for what colours work best on you. And... by the way, missy!... you have fabulous legs that work well in those dresses. Congrats on the great purchases.

Melody, I've put the dress over capri length leggings, belted over straight-leg jeans or leggings, under a denim jacket, under a blazer, under cardigans, belted over ankle length leggings and a blazer or jacket, and with hose and flats and tights and boots. Of course, this is all just in the closet since it's still too warm to wear any of these combos out of the house

Fall/winter is my favorite season for dressing, mainly because I favor the traditional fall colors available in stores and winters in the south are mild. So it's been great to get an early start *and* at such good prices. I've never shopped the NAS before ... just learned about it thru this site, and am thrilled with my purchases and will keep them all.

Angie, I'm 5'9 and love to throw on 3" heels to push me to 6' tall.
