Finally, a sweater! Does it work?

The weather has turned cooler, so it opens up many more options, clothing-wise. It’s tough to think about wearing sweaters when it’s 100-degrees plus.

I wear a lot of black and white, so here I am trying to break that up with a pop of red and a neutral (vs black) shoe. I'm also trying some things I picked up on YLF, namely
J Crew matchsticks and a cami under a cardi. I would never have tried these pants because they are a) corduroy and b) skinny. So I'm interested to hear if you think they work for me. Here's the outfit.

J Crew cream matchstick cords (tall), WHBM animal print cardi, red cami, Express necklace, Jeffrey Campbell spectator oxford heels. The pants break oddly in photo, but they don't normally fall that way – I was trying to show the bow on this shoe.

Does this outfit work?

You are stunning!

Good job!

You know how Angie feels about cords but in that photo the cord material cannot be detected! LOL!

Wow! Kyle, honestly I don't think I've seen a single picture where you do not look fabulous. A truly winning combo and the cords are perfect!

That's adorable! The sweater is fantastic, the red pop is perfect, and the pants and the heels make you look like a long, cool drink of water.

I'm laughing at Kristen's compliment, "you look like a long, cool drink of water". That's cute!

Kyle - you look incredible in skinnies - they really show off your long legs. Love the print sweater and yes, the red makes the outfit pop and is a good color on you. It more than works, it's fab!

I'm surprised that YLF inspired cords. I thought Tanya, Shiny and I are the only cord fans around here.

Kyle, you've got it down. Lovely.

Kyle, very nice! I tried those cords on and they definitely do you more justice than they did me! I'm glad because I loved the concept. I LOVE the red under the cardigan and you look wonderful!

Btw, I'm a cord fan too (I have brown ones in my closet awaiting the weather to cool down a little). I really wish I could have found some cream ones that worked...sigh.

Kyle, you look really spectacular! I love this outfit. Isn't it exciting that the weather is finally cooling down? :D

I like the black brooch/flower pin. Did you add that yourself?

Just Perfect! That's all there is to say.

Ana:
The black flower pin/brooch was part of the sweater. But as a bonus, it can be removed and used with other outfits. Nice touch.
