Fashion Help!

I was wondering if you ladies think it would be a good idea to wear a belt with this outfit! I'd prefer to wear a skinny belt as it would accentuate my curves better but, the blouse is a floral print blouse and I didn't know if it would look, "right"? Your input would be greatly appreciated.

I think you should wear the belt in the belt loops and semi-tuck the blouse. You have a nice figure and I don't think you need the belt cinched over the blouse to signal that!

Ceit, the blouse is quite big in the stomach area. It's a dolman type blouse and I was wondering if I could even get away with such a top since it literally covers my curves. I had to fix it to look like it was fitted in the picture, that's why I threw the belt on. I really LOVE the blouse and am trying to make it work for my body type.

The belt over sweater seems very retro to me. I vote no belt.

Yes of course you can. As you move and walk around, the top is going to move and mould to your curves. Your skinnies also show your figure.

It sounds like you are more confident in bodycon styles. I think once you get used to fluid tops you will love them.

The beauty of dolman tops like these is that you can still look quite curvaceous - whether or not you're curvy. I'm with Ceit here: the white skinnies add structure to the bottom area which still highlights your curves. You are ending the top in the right spot so I say NO to the belt!

I am more confident with bodycon styles but I want to venture out of that as well, thus I picked up this very inexpensive blouse to go with my white jeggings. I will try a belt and tuck it in a bit as you suggested and see how that looks. Thank you for the tip!

I agree with Ceit, it's a lovely top and I think it fits well without an upper belt. Oversized and fluid fit tops are more current looking than tight fitted body con tops right now. The belt over the sweater doesn't look bad, but it looks retro/vintage and if you are going for a contemporary look I'd belt in the belt loops like Ceit suggests.

I vote no belt, I love the look of the outfit without belt.......think it definitely shows off you great shape.

Agree with these wise women that no belt is necessary. To my eyes, the blouse doesn't even look oversized! First pic looks great.
