Perhaps I'm just cheap (or perhaps I am just more penurious than you!) but I can't help thinking you could find something similar for a fraction of that price.
Also, are you quite sure you will be able to walk in them? I must admit that I myself have made many errors in this respect, only to find, later, that in real life it is really very difficult to walk in heels higher than 4.25", and that when I attempt it, I get lots of sympathy and offers of help from passersby who naturally assume I have a disability or a condition like polio or something. So far from the impression intended! I have noticed that in too-high heels, very few people can walk beautifully. Hobbling is not pretty. Holding on to rails for dear life as you navigate steep inclines and/or stairwells is not pretty.
BTW, I used to be a ballet dancer so my balance, posture and physical poise is better than most! (The state of my mental poise is another matter, but I digress!) Most people appear to have trouble with anything higher than 3.5 inches.
They are cool though, I agree, and I once drove 130 miles each way to buy a pair of shoes I wanted, so I totally understand that aspect of your dilemma!
Carpe diem!
