I know not everyone loves Not Your Daughter's Jeans, but I LOVE this particular style. I bought a pair for myself and have recommended them to countless customers -- and everyone who tries them on loves them. They have a very high rise ("tummy tuck technology!"), but I actually like it! Feels a bit weird at first, but now I've gotten used to it.

Anyway, just thought I'd share my find. And they're on sale! They fit me more like skinny pants than straight legs. I wore them tucked into boots today. I wanted to take a picture, but was too tired after work. Next time!

How are they sized, Marianna? My usual size is out of stock so I'm wondering if sizing up would work, or if they are likely to be too big or baggy or stretched out.

Either way, thanks for the recommendation & can't wait to see them on you.

They fit me true to size and they haven't stretched at all after a couple wears. I wouldn't size up. I'd size down if anything. But in general I've found them very true to size.

Oh, I didn't notice that the black has very limited sizes left. Oops. Guess my find won't help too many on the forum.

Angie, they do not bag out at all! They're great! I know you're generally not a fan of NYDJ (and neither am I...) but I am impressed with these pants. I feel totally polished in them all day long. I sold a pair to a coworker and she loves them too!

Michelle, the Encore department has them with a bootcut leg. But the straight size goes up to 18 and I bet they'd fit you. People love the bootcut ones too -- they've sold really really well. Here's the link: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/30.....tback=5646

Thanks, Marianna. I have been VERY disappointed with the quality of the denim on NYDJ's - but these are not denim so it makes perfect sense. We never leave a retail stone unturned so well spotted

Hmmm.... Marianna, how generous is their 18? I know W sizing is different and I may need to stick to that due to my full thighs and hips...thoughts?
And why do I have it in my head that ponte pants only get YLF approval in their skinny or straight incarnations?

Oh, I forgot that ponte knit boot cuts aren't YLF approved -- I think because they are more likely to look like loungewear?

Anyway, I got the straight size 16 and they fit me like a glove. My coworker, who is shaped totally differently than me, also got a 16 and they fit her well. She is curvier and has hips! I'd like to say that I think the 18 would fit you, but I don't know. I still don't believe that you're much bigger than me. I think the 18 would fit but I can't be held accountable if they don't.

Marianna, I just got my pants (in 18) and I love them! Got them in black and chocolate -- what a rich, dark, lovely brown that is. I will be wearing them today and will post pics tonight. Thanks so much for the tip!

FYI, supposedly there are many more sizes back in stock in black now. I placed an order to pick up at my nearest store so I hope, hope, hope that they are truly in stock.
Marianna, you may just have provided the solution to my pants dilemma. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Great timing !! After trying thinks on with the fab girls yesterday, I came the conclusion I totally need a tummy tuck or Spanx........now, an alternative !

I hope so too, Marianna. I am trying to place an order but it keeps getting cancelled because they are having difficulty locating it in the store! Keeping my fingers crossed...

Edit - no luck, it's totally out in my size.
I'm kind of miffed at Nordstrom's customer service department - not because the item was out of stock, but because of terrible follow-up. I never received a call or email that the order was cancelled, only found out about it through logging in to Nordstrom's website to check up on it, and yesterday when I called to follow up on the cancelled order, the CSR I spoke with promised to call me back even if he couldn't locate it but never did.
