Fancy doing a challenge anyone?

Hi ladies! I thought it might enliven the forum and stir up our creative juices if we did a little challenge. Would anyone care to join in?

Here's what I thought we could try. So, we've done challenges before where we've used paintings as inspiration. This time I thought why not lovely photographs. A few months ago I started a board on Pinterest with beautiful photographs of seasons and nature on and I took a look at them and thought that if some were chosen we could use them as a start point for putting an outfit together. What do you reckon?

So...Firstly, would you all be happy if I chose 5 pictures myself...or would you prefer to vote? I promise I would choose a diverse selection.

Secondly, I thought we could run the challenge from a Monday through Friday. Next week? Or the week after?

Thirdly, the photos can be used as loosely as you like for interpretation. Look at colour, texture, line etc. it's all good.

Fourthly, I though we would all be better off just starting our own individual threads as long as this post and inspiration photo/photos were included and linked to. Plus the title : Seasons and Nature Challenge

ETA. If this idea is approved, I'll start a proper new thread with the chosen photos and loose rules on, that can be linked to on everyone's wiw's

I don't know if I can join every day, but I would be in too. Or I might need to do several outfits at once, more inspirational than true outfits of the day.

I'm in! I don't mind if you choose the photos, but I'd prefer to vote. How about if we include one day of using our own photo? That might be a fun way of getting to know a little bit more about each other.

Cheers Karie! I don't mind votes at all. I love the idea of a freestyle day though where participants choose a season/nature photo of their own.

Or what about a pot of ...say 10 photos? I wonder if voting would end up with so many differing points of view...

I will try to participate as much as possible. I think it will be lots of fun. The challenge for me is next week we are having house guests. DH is my photographer.

Sounds like fun! I can't promise every day participation but I will do my best! I love the idea of 4 or 5 photos picked by you (voting or not -- doesn't matter to me) and then one we choose ourselves as a culminating activity.

I think the challenge should be as loose as possible so that people can participate as, when and how they like.

I propose we span it over two weeks....

I'll pick 8-10 photos and the idea could be that you choose say 3 from those and one (or two) of your own. Shall we stick with Pinterest? I think it will be easy to link to and to save a picture from. There are tons of photos on the one Pinterest page that I linked to (not my page), so you could use that to pick your freestyle photos from.

Participate as and when you can over the two weeks starting from Monday maybe? I'll post a proper thread with the guidelines and photos on in the next day.

How does that all sound?

I love this idea! I'm not on Pinterest so sorry I can't join. Also, I'm working from a very limited fall capsule right now. But I will be cheering, admiring and gaining inspiration from the sidelines.

and speaking of the photos, it's a great selection. I esp love the rusty ones. Great fun to create those type of photos too.

Diane, as long as I didn't have to go on Pinterest to copy the pics, I could try. Otherwise Pinterest puts a big black bar over the image and tries to make me sign up to see it. Please don't design the challenge based on my needs, though! It sounds like lots of other folk are on Pinterest and should be rewarded for that.
