Got this in an email from Barneys. I realize I can do a few of these looks.

I really like the boho dress with leather jacket and OTK boots. If I got a boho dress I could totally do this.
With what I have in my closet I can do the plaid coat, lace shirt, cropped pants and short flat booties.
I also like the fuzzy black coat and white dress with black boots. I have a white t-shirt dress, but I don't think it'd quite work.

Funny. Scrolling through the link before reading the rest of your post, I thought the plaid coat look and fuzzy black coat looks were both things you could totally pull off.

Those floral Valentino boots are lovely to look at.

I can totally see you in the plaid coat ensemble. It would look great on you. I'm going to give that boho dress outfit a try. I think I have what I need in my closet. Well, not the OTK boots, but other than that...

You would look great in that plaid coat ensemble or one like it. And I would love a plaid coat.

The last plaid coat I had in the 90s (plaid AND fake fur, wow!) turned out to be a total, surprising, mind-blowing workhorse wild card. I bought it thinking I would never wear it. Instead, I wore it hundreds of times. I loved that thing. Literally to death.

I never think of checking out Barneys for inspiration, but I loved the whole link, particularly the higher shaft booties!

The plaid coat look sounds like a winner.

I like the black coat a lot. And of course all the shoes. I think I wanted about 50 percent of them. I want to be less reliant on shoes to make a look, since I do not actually have them on my feet most of the time.

Transitional looks with fabrics from different seasons can be tricky -- that black coat and white dress work really well together, but I think you're right about carefully considering what kind of white dress it would be. I see these ridiculous magazine articles about 'wear your charcoal wool tights with a turtleneck and sundress' and they never look good.

You would look great in the outfits you mention, Anna.
I'm taken with the sheer dress with ruffles and the pointy pumps, and the flared olive trousers with pumps and duffel coat. I don't have the pieces for either outfit, however.
